So, yesterday I recreated my 2nd Hawke, Francesca Hawke, Spirit Healer/Force Mage

She looks a bit older, but I headcanon that she cut her hair during the years and the scar is from the fight with Meredith.

I actually like her, mostly cause she's still just as sarcastic as she was in DA2.

Tbh it was much easier for me to recreate her this time, cause I didn't have to recreate default Hawke like last time. THAT was horrible

Ehh.  I recreated her from memory, and with the graphic styles of the two games being so different I don't think a really faithful recreation would work that well anyway.  But she came out nicely enough, I figure she looks like her older self about as much as Varric looks like his older self

Terribly. They removed hair and facial hair styles, and the inaccurate lighting in the CC made it easy to misjudge colors. Also, facial features turned out different. I even had a female Hawke based on the default face (different hairstyle), and she looked nothing like her DA2 version. So I guess it wasn't easy for Bioware either!

I based my DAI Hawke on the modern day Rust Cohle from True Detective, long hair and bad facial hair included. With the weird shades of blonde, he looked like crap. Lucky that, since that was what I was looking for. Probably should have gone with a smaller mustache though.

Thanks. I actually did it without any pictures for reference, so it was all from memory. I basically remembered that she had a prominent, straight nose, bright blue eyes, black messy shoulder length hair, and heavy black eye makeup, then I kind of winged it for the rest until it looked good. The final result was a pretty good match when I actually found my old pictures to compare.

Yeah sometimes I give them a different hairstyle or facial hair and just headcannon that Hawke paid a quick visit to the BE before leaving Kirkwall to kind of headcannon the changes. For example my last Hawke didn't have facial hair in DA2 but had a full moustache and beard when he met my quizzy in DAI mostly to throw people off from recognizing him.
