It does change. iirc there's three versions.

That's really curious. I assumed it could change. But in my "rushthrough" it didn't. I completed the quest with his friend. I didn't go through the entire Solassan. He ran out of stories to tell about the Fade and Corypheus. And I'm sure there were still 'Artifacts' waiting for me to activate them. But I was under the impression that he regarded my Inquisitor quite highly based on what he said at the end of the main questline, yet his card remained the same original one--unlike Cassandra's which only changed after the epilogue.

Only time I saw Solas' change was at the end after the epilogue.

I noticed it changed after the end of the romance, then at the end of the game. However I do think it's tired to approval.

What did you do to get Cassandra's alternative card? I romanced her, made her personal quests and all that and her card never changed. She was the only one. The rest changed when I got the friendship of those guys. I personally love Blackwall's card where he's riding a griffon.

Solas removal from the group will most likely be saved for a DLC plot reason.
So prepare for a possible DLC story that continue the story which may allow us to gain Solas back as a Party member along with a new Card for him to represent his state of mind.
On that note:
The Card appearance doesn't change by approval level but by their current State of Mind.

I am sorry, but I do not have the answer. I did romance him and I have ALL the possible "approvals" and nothing... now I don't get any more approvals AND the card doesn't change. It didn't change in the last time I romanced him either. I have simply never seen it. Could it be a bug?? Or could it be 'cuz I am flirty with others?

Sometimes the card doesn't change until you reach a certain point in the main quest.
I know I've given Iron Bull his tooth and it didn't change until after a point.

I noticed Dorian, Sera, and Iron Bull's cards changed after doing their personal quest, I just finished Solas's and talked on the balcony with him, but his card is the same. Does it not change, or do I need more approval?
There are 3 versions for Solas, including his original. They only change if
1) You romance him
2) When you complete the game

Solas goes from the Hermit as normal, to the Heirophant if romanced, and a really scary looking Tower if not romanced.
They probably didn't change his tarot card after his personal quest to avoid giving too much away.

Solas' card doesn't change until the end of the game, whether you romance him or not. No doubt due to how his can determined as a "spoiler"

But his card only changes after he leaves the game and depending on your approval with him it changes to either the Tower or the Heirophant.

Granted, I never had a character romance him, but in 3 playthroughs I've never had Solas' card change. The only character in the game I haven't seen. Always had high approval. Always helped his 'friend'. Always activated every artifact I found with Solas in the Party (you won't get approval if he isn't).
As I understood it wasn't some part of Solas' card bugged, due to the Elven Artifacts questline never being properly added to the Journal.

His won't change until after the game is over. After the after epilogue cut scene, click to go somewhere and his card should be different (and with an X over it).

There ARE three cards for Solas, and some people have the card of him romanced, and some don't. I , for example, have 100% approval, and have romanced him, and have passed even the temple of Mythal, and his card doesn't change. So there MUST be something I haven't done, or something I have done and I shouldn't have, because it simple never changes until the end of the game. Not to romance, only to the Dread Wolf. So I give up...

If I recall correctly, his card does change, but its after the Temple of Mythal. There's a last romance scene post-Temple, and if you complete that without rejecting him, the card should change? At least it did for me, and I'm fairly sure it was after that particular scene, as that's what locks you into the romance.

You were right. It does change IF you don't drink from the Welll of Sorrows. ![]()

Well, that's weird,.. I may have done something else during the game, because no matter what I said to Solas, the card would only change for me if I wouldnt drink from the well. But anyways, at least this time it changed. The first time I romanced him it didnt. ![]()

I think it only changes for romance and certain main plot developements.
It didn't change for me until the very end, either.
I personally love Blackwall's card where he's riding a griffon.
Same. Then again, I would love anyone who's riding a griffon.
