I haven't seen much info on this topic, all the questions are always about the character's max level.  So how about the Inquisition's max level? I saw a table somewhere that seemed to indicated lvl 11 was the max and thus you'd get 10 points to spend total, then I saw else where lvl 20 might be the max and thus give 19 points to distribute... what say you?

27. You can unlock all the perks if you do all the quests. Not me don't have the patience.

Let's put it this way then; What was your Inquisition's level when you finished the game?

Mine was 14.  I probably could have grinded it harder doing requsitions/waiting for war table results, but... meh.  Still, that was doing a lot of side quests.

On an aside: I picked two options from Josie.  First was to have merchants 'advertise' when they had deals, and second was to have merchants offer rare stock.  Neither seemed to do anything.

(Also, Leianna's 'Forward Scouts' seemed to just mark quarry's and lumber mills on my map, which... are easy enough to find.  Not very useful.)

I am almost at level 12 (in terms of reputation). I also thought we could only go to 11.

I can confirm one thing for certain. Inquisition level cannot be leveled over 20 with the special items you can buy from Skyhold.

i think some in this thread are confusing character lvl with influence lvl. the OP is asking for confirmation on inf lvl cap.

can confirm it is 20, was kinda annoyed to find it had a cap, havn't even done adamant yet.

odd it has a cap and power doesn't, currently sitting on 454 power.

fyi after certain options are chosen there is a vendor in skyhold that sells inf and power.

So then, you only get 19 perks?

I've used 19 Perks and 1 more left, the leveler says 101525 / 20000,
the Leveler keeps going up but i'm stuck at Level 20 for Perks

The highest I've gotten was 18. I don't grind influence because I didn't take all the dialogue perks. They have to make sense for the character and background I'm rolling.

I got to mid level 24, with about 302 power points left before final event. I did all the areas and quests, and killed the 10 dragons. Two quests I could not do, as they looked like bugs, in that the mobs did not turn up where they said they would. I'm not sure you can get much higher, expect with other story lines? The reason I say that is because there are no mobs higher then 19, with the exception of a couple of dragons, a boss in the oassis crystal temple, and the final corypheus. At 24 you dont get any xp for killing level 19 mobs.

The best I got to is 23. By then, there is very little to do except finish up the main quest.

How on Earth would anyone even get there? I did literally everything there was to do, save for 3 maps in Plains and 1 map in Hinterlands and I got 24 level just before final bossfight for killing the last of the dragons in Emprise....

Your inquisition lvl is hard capped at 20, your inquisitor lvl is soft capped. I have done all the quests in the game with the exception of 1, and a few collections. I have over 200k Influence but am capped at lvl 20. You get 19 perks max currently (might change in an expansion/dlc)

I don't know how do you get to 27 :P I'm at 24 with influence level 18, and did almost everything, except the few bugged quests in collections (Plains regions, seeds, The Fall mosaic) and banners and thrones (which I hope to finish actually lol... well the throne one anyway... no idea about banners). At this level like someone else mentioned it above, you get no xp from killing stuff so... yea :P

Edit: oh and I have the final quest to do, just waiting on the final war table bajilion-hours-missions to be done...

I'm now level 23. And I can barely get any XP. I've beat the campaign killed all dragons, I have a few side quests left but the enemies I kill are so weak I don't get any XP for killing them. The only thing that gave me XP was dragons and rifts, well all the rifts have been closed and there are no more dragons...time to make a new character ;)

There're only a few mobs left, like these.

Just enough to squeak to 24 and I think that's the best there is without resorting to cheats or something.
