Just finished the main plot. Totally enjoyed the game. Played it non-stop pretty much for the last week. Some feedback for the devs around the gameplay.
What I liked
- Attention to detail with the characters. Great voice acting. All of the inquisitors companions felt fully-realized.
- Massive world. Finished the game with two whole areas largely unexplored.
- Great lore. Loved the premise behind the main story.
- The cinematic cut-scene with the singing after you leave Haven was probably one of the greatest I've ever experienced in a game.
- It felt like DAI gave more attention to choices made in previous games than any other Bioware game I have ever played. I really appreciated it. It can't be easy having to coalese every possible world-state into a playable game.
Most of my complaints revolve around the main story narrative
- While totally getting into the premise behind the main story, I felt like as it progressed it fell a little flat.
- Related to the previous point, at some point during the main quest line it stopped seeming like the world needed an inquisition. Thats the point, of course, but it felt like it happened halfway through the game.
- The world was massive but the actual Inquisition never felt that epic of an undertaking. I always felt like I was the leader of a group of heros running around the world completing missions and we had a big castle HQ.
- Most helmets in the game looked pretty ridiculous.
