Suppose there was a mod kit and you were very good at modding, what quick mod would make you enjoy the game a lot more ?

 

Mine:

• A "kiss me" option for all LI dialog wheels (like we used to have with Allistair)
• A "random dialog" launcher function key (so you didn't have to keep walking around in circles to get the particular dialog you are looking for to trigger)
• Those instant approval / hate trinkets we got for DAO
• "Switch my character race and gender right now" at some key points in the game (so I don't have to get to skyhold with all the gender races. Of course I will do a PT with all of them eventually but for now I want to see more and dread the idea of grinding Redcliffe yet again)
• "Get Varric banter even though you have Sera or Cole in your party". Let's face it, Varric is "The narrator" of DA and I miss his quips when he is not on the party. This makes my other rogues get short shifted. 
• "Merril's voice for all elven female NPC" By the dread wolf, how I miss her cute accent and voice. 
• "A Fenris look alike among Skyhold NPC." That sexy elf was a looker

1) Infinite inventory space

2) Fenris' gauntlets for my character... love those clawed gauntlets!

3) An extra inventory category for items you want to keep seperate and NOT sell... or just a storage chest... ya go with that instead

4) Auto-save BEFORE conversations rather than AFTER then >.>

No matter how much I love that female Brit-accent voice, it's just too awkward to play the game twerking my way through all the death and explosions.

Make all the romanceable characters bi because why should we limit player options? In this universe, its never been a particularly important character detail.

You're telling me these characters don't have to be one hundred percent representations of me, and that it's really myself that's stopping me from romancing them with a different set of pixels? Crazy.

Yes, how dare I want to play some gender combination other than what the game has prescribed. How dare I actually stick to the gender I am and the gender I want to romance and have more options that should be easily modded in. Every game prior had a mod that made the straight characters bi. Bet you didn't complain about that. No its only wrong when the 'entitled majority' asks for something right?

The issue is not really black and white, especially for those who want to play as gay/lesbian romance. There are barely any game that allow them to be in those relationship. At the end of the day, they could totally play as straight characters, but it would just be another one of those games where they have to play as a straight protagonist. I'm saying this as I romanced Cassandra, which I usually play as a gay character. I have no problem doing that, especially with this game since the m/m is pretty terrible, IMO, but others who don't do it not because they're limiting themselves but because there are other reasons they can't like breaking immersion or just role playing straight relationship once again like hundreds of games already in the market.

1) Hair fix. Better texture, better styles, better everything. If I never get another mod, this is the one I want.

Anybody who plays a game the way they prefer to play it is limiting themselves to their preferred way of playing. Are you passing judgment or just stating the obvious?

 

In an ideal world I would want to have everybody stay their sexualities too but as we've seen, when you have a fully voiced game with this much stuff in it, the resources they can devote to love interests are limited. So a great efficient way to best use those resources while making us all happy is to allow us our pick of all the scripted LI options. We'd each have, what? 6 to 8 options? Instead of 2 to 4? I know its typically been 2 per in the past but this is the game of MORE when it comes to everything else so why be so limited here? 

 

And I propose while we hash this out that we continue to participate in the original topic (should be fun to be creative while debating right?) so here's one:

1) Auto looting. There were a couple of good auto-looting mods for the first game. Basically you click on a thing and all its stuff is auto added to your inventory without you haven't to move or access the inventory dialog. It does require an inventory capacity expanding mod to work though.

 

I've never cared for Dragon Age's inventory restrictions, least favorite part of the design. They're way too low and make you fiddle with your inventory way too often. I was kind of hoping they would implement the kinds of solutions they had in Mass Effects 2 and 3.  I guess they kind of do that with the potions.

Probably try to fix the hairstyles/facial hair for the 360. I usually don't care about such things, but it looks really bad.
