I thought that too but on the Bringing down the Sky asteroid I just changed the difficulty from casual to insanity after seeing three turrets sitting there closed and they immediately opened once the difficulty changed so I know it's true.Dethateer wrote...
I think all difficulties have the same amount of enemies. All Insanity really does is boost sky-high the enemies' ability to deal and take damage.

I did go up to them and try to open them. They wouldn't open until I changed the difficulty.Karstedt wrote...
The turrets in BDtS don't open until you get close to them. There are not more of them at higher difficulty. As far as I can tell, there are no more enemies at higher levels. The biggest difference is their ability to take damage. The soldier oriented enemies on insanity have something like 90%+ resistance.
I have seen people on this board say that higher difficulties help you level up more in a play through because there are more enemies.

I really can't tell a difference in Veteran and Insanity other than how long it takes to kill enemies. Did my insanity run and then backed down to Vet to make characters for ME2.

There are more enemies in some fights. I'm on my third playthrough (all done recently) and the last one is on insanity. The first battle I noticed more enemies was right near the beginning on Eden Prime. Right after you find Nihilus..it throws you into a battle. Never before on my other playthroughs was there a rocket drone down on the platform below. It took me by surprise and killed me. XD
Rocket dron or rocket Geth? I've never seen a drone there and I've played through insanity at least 4 times. The Geth was always there, he's just really slow, so unless you dilly dally he shouldn't have a chance to fire at you. If memory serves

You're saying its to the left as you go down that ramp, like under the catwalk?

IIRC even some of the first drones are rocket drones.

Why is my game different? Any chance of a screenshot of those 2 rocket drones? Get's me wondering what else might be different.

Wha!?!? Ok, that's nuts. Are you running on hardcore? I'm wondering if that changes things up from insanity. I just played through Eden Prime again, being ectra careful and holding my squaddies back. And there were no rocket drones on the wooded aproach, and none by the catwalk right after nihlus.
Why is my game different? Any chance of a screenshot of those 2 rocket drones? Get's me wondering what else might be different.
You probably have the same issue as me, when doing a NG+ if I change the difficulty in the options before starting the game it doesn't actually register. I need to change it once I am ingame for it to work properly and the annoying thing is it doesn't ask when starting a NG+ it just launch you into the game. I figured that one too late and didn't finish hardcore because of that.
