I just got a second Chain Lightning ring that says +30% ability damage. Does this mean I can equip both of them to get +60% damage from chain lightning? I would test it out but I'm leaving for work soon and was curious.
Do two of the same rings stack?

Alright, I got home from work and tested this a bit. I took the basic melee unit from all three factions and hit it with chain lightning a few times while it was isolated so it only took one instance of damage at a time. I did this while wearing no ring, one ring, and two rings. While there was a definite measurable damage increase from no rings to one ring. It seems that putting two of the same ring does not stack, as I was getting the same damage number as I did with only one ring. Tested against several units separately in each case.
I'm a little sad that I won't get to double up my chain lightning damage bonus from rings but I guess that lets me put my heal after kill ring back on, which might be the wiser choice anyway.

Damn. I was really hoping stacking rings would work. Oh well, thanks for testing it out.

I dont have two of the same life on kill rings for further testing, but it appears different levels of the life on kill rings stack.
There are 7 health bars, meaning roughly each one holds 14% (first and last are slightly larger, middle ones are slightly smaller).
Using a 5% and 10% heal on kill ring, I generated a bit more than 1 middle life bar.

Anyone have a purple ability ring besides the + 30% blue ones? If those exist and works, I can only imagine the beauty.

Yet another thing from Origins missing. A stats screen where you could look at ALL your stats to see if they stacked or not.

As I understand it, different names should stack. I haven't tested this to be certain, but I'd be surprised if they didn't.

Well... it's not really "missing" per se as Origins never had MP in the first place. SP has the Attributes sceen that does display all of your stats, so you can check there to see what stacks and what doesn't. I don't think it lists skill damage bonuses, but I seem to recall that it was reflected in the tooltip for the skill on the skills screen, so you could view it there. Of course, it'd be awesome if we could see our attributes in MP. Until then we'll just have to keep making wild guesses.

I've noticed that rings display their bonuses in the abilities screen.
EG. I have a 30%dmg Twin Fang ring and my Twin Fang tool tip reads at 266%dmg instead of 200%. Likewise for my 30% duration Poison Weapon ring, when equipped my Poison Weapon tool tip says 13second duration rather then 10.
So if anyone does have 2 identical skill rings, that would be an easy way to test it.

Ability improvement rings work by setting an abilities properties to a 30% higher number all other rings add a bonus to stats. You can see this int he abilities tooltip the damage or duration number there changes on equip. Using 2 ability improvement rings has no use but 2 heal on kill rings for 10% each gives you 20% of your max HP with each kill and 2x20% crit damage gives +40%. This is the same in single and multiplayer.
