It's been a long time since I've been so passionate to write or read fanfiction. I've been trying to find some good DA:I stories but, when it came time for me to spill the story in my mind...

Tell me, does anyone else here like AU (alternate universe) stories?

Usually when I write or read fanfiction, I like keeping it in that world. But my current story (which is spilling out of me liek WHOA) is an AU retelling of DA:I set...in New York City. :o Still trying to decide how or if I'll include certain story elements from the game but wow, I haven't been this passionate for a story in a while. :D

http://www.wattpad.c...ition-alternate

(I'll be putting it up on FF.net soon too)

Anyway, I'm not much for self promotion so, yeah. There. ;) But if anyone has any other recommendations for DA:I fics you love, please let me know. I'm seriously ravenous about this story and need all the canon/fanon I can get. :D

OT question: How do you like wattpad? How does it compare to ff.net?

Back on topic, there are quite a few of us who write AU fanfic (mine is both incomplete and rather silly).

It's an iffy decision for me. It depends on how the AU is used for the story. If the plot and the happenings are interesting, then sure I'm fine with AU. It's when there is no real plot that I find it annoying.

Like, in the case of my newest fanfic- It's not quite AU since it takes place in the world of the Inquisition, but, the Female Inquisitor and Dorian are given the option to make an heir for the Pavus family and thus acquire riches and allies for the Inquisition as well as grant freedom for Dorian to make choices. Weird things like that seem to make AU seem fine to me.
