Am I the only one who thinks that the "straight" romance options for males are boring as hell?

Cassandra may surprise me, but she's far too much a zealot for me to really care about and Josephine is dreadfully boring; and she's from the country that gave us ****** Zevran.
I really really miss a "darker" character like Morrigan and Isabela, one who's more teasing and delightful banter instead of vapid boring girls, who don't even know how to flirt.

 

I think I'm just going to be gay for the rest of my other playthroughs. Dorian and Iron Bull are both vastly superior characters. Especially compared to Josephine.

Yeah. Good luck. As someone who is romancing Dorian, it's the most boring romance I've ever had in a Bioware game. A lot of people are having fun with the Bull though so good luck with that.

Also, Cassandra's not a zealot and has some of the absolute funniest, sweetest love scenes in the game.

lol.  I've actually seen some people mention how they thought the options for straight males sucked, so they just went with Iron Bull.

Cassandra is by no means a zealot. I'm not a particularly religious person myself, but I have no problem with Cassandra's faith, or any other party member's faiths. They aren't forcing it on you and they aren't trying to convert you, so what's the issue with Cassandra following the Chant?

 

That said, Cassandra has probably the sweetest romance in the game for a male PC.

I love Cassandra, and she's not really a zealot at all. I mean, she believes in the Maker etc, but she's not remotely dogmatic about the Chantry's teachings. She thinks the whole thing should be reformed.

Cassandra is one of the best characters in the game once she opens up. When i do a male playthrough I'll be trying her romance. I thought i would hate her based on her apperance in Dragon Age II but i absolutely love her. Once she opened up and i found out why she is who she is it was great much like Blackwall who starts a bit boring.

I've said my piece about this in other threads on the topic. In short: BioWare writes interesting romances but does not grasp the general preferences of the straight male gaming demographic in the romance department. I commend you for having the adaptability to pick another character instead. I'm hoping to do all the romances in different playthroughs eventually, but I'm personally really looking forward to both Dorian and Cassandra's. To each their own.

Cassandra is one of the best characters in any of the games and also one of the best romances if not the best. Once you get into her character you find out she is far from being a zealot and has some unexpected sides to her.

Cassandra is a fantastic character and the cutest romance option in Dragon Age, imo. Josephine seems nice, but I haven't really looked into her romance. Might romance either Josephine or Sera next playthrough. Dorian seems like an interesting character and I'd likely choose him if I was into m/m romance, but I'm not.

Eh. I kinda like it. Josephine is very cute, and I don't really see how you find her boring. And Casandra has the best romance in the game, clearly. At least I can't imagine the others being better than that.
