I was going to make the "I don't like the gay male options" thread but it occurred to me that my opinion isn't the only one out there. It was a remarkable epiphany. ![]()

Cassandra is one of the best realized characters in Dragon Age, so I have no complaints about the love interests available to my orientation.
I have to agree with you on this one. She is really a much more well developed character than I was expecting. I'm not romancing her, but she shows a level of insecurity and vulnerability that is very endearing and makes me want to get to know her better and support her. I did the series of quests where you

Just shows how quick someone can become to judgement.
Hi my name is Mallux... And I made a post before thinking!
In my current playthrough with a male elf mage, that looks like a very pretty Lady Gaga, I actually decided to give Cassandra a chance, because after traversing the forum, I was clearly missing something. about her. And you guys were right, she's actually very nuanced, far more likeable than I first gave her credit for. The funny thing actually was, that in this playthrough I really really despised Vivienne, who I totally loved in my previous playthrough. I have to give credit to bioware, for actually making such nuanced characters, you can change perspective on depending on your own character.

Us lesbians got Sera and Josephine. One is an annoying little **** and the other is boring, cute but boring. You're not seeing me creating a thread to complain about it though.
To me, even having two(!) options is like being given a smorgasbord, a lesbian smorgasbord.
I would still trade Sera for Cassandra anyday, though.

Cass actually really surprised me, her views on things were surprisingly reasonable and she was a great character, a good friend to my Inquisitor. I'm glad you've found that you agree. ![]()

OP, I can sympathize, but personally I think we're fine with Cassandra and Josephine. Not great, but good enough.
What I REALLY wanted was a straight (or bi) female elf for my male Dalish Elf protagonist. Romance her and open her to the ways of the Dalish. Maybe someone like Sera.

If you want a female Elf who respects the Dalish ways, Sera is as far from that as possible.

She has become my favorite bioware romance to date.

Thats why I mentioned opening her mind to the ways of the Dalish. Reforming her. Character growth. Things like that.
Well, I was HOPING for that kind of stuff until the game came out.

I rarely ever play male but I might just to romance Cass.
