After Haven is attacked you have the chance to save some of the people who worked for you, I managed to save them all to know they will be replaced anyway?!?!
Call me a jerk, but why did I save them if not to continue their purpose as before?

To be a nice person? No, I really am with you in that I dislike that most of them got replaced as soon as we went to Skyhold. I was developing a good amount of affection for all of them, and while I like some of their replacements it just didn't sit well with me to see the others hanging out and doing nothing. The quartermaster does have some nice dialogue if you imported a save with Loghain as a Warden though.
