I was happy to see him, but I was also happy to leave him to die. I didn't really think losing him would be of much consequence since there are so many other capable Wardens in my save file other than Loghain. So he had a noble ending to his story, and he was also like pushing 60 or something by that time, so it was probably for the best.

For the last time, that was not Loghain.

That was William Dafoe.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to see it. :)

As for the OP, couldn't agree more.

I loved his inclusion, his growth as a character, his part of the story, everything.  I was glad to have him with how well he was written.  And, of course, Mr. Templeman knocked it out of the park once more.

Awesome scene for him.  I've always liked Loghain, but rarely do I allow him to live simply because by the point you get him, I feel my character owes Alistair a lot.  Thankfully, I had one playthrough where I had Ali married off and... well, if not happy, at least not drunk, and thus could meet Loghain.

I got his dialog with Morg to trigger, too!  So happy.

I thought Loghain was scum in Origins and killed him every time

I tried out a Keep save with him as Hawke's warden friend (love the keep btw)

And it really softened me on him

I still think he was traitor but a little of the scum was washed away

So to answer your question OP I thought it was an excellent inclusion
