So sometimes when I use Spirit Blade with my Knight Enchanter he attacks 3 times in a row (which is great because otherwise its a sluggish move). But I can't figure out what causes this so that I can do it more consistently. Anyone know???

 

I thought it might be the Eldritch Detonator thing, so it procs when the enemy is frozen or stunned or whatever, but I can't get that to work consistently. Then I thought it might be when you flank the enemy, but that doesn't work consistently either.

 

I'm playing on PC. Help appreciated!

PS4 here good timing will get it to chain if you end their lives on a chain you'll get the slow motion kill as well. You want to time it so you're pushing the button just as the attack becomes available again, you can just mash it if you like but that normally wrecks buttons.

Also, what is the point of magic stat? Willpower does same thing and it also increases your magic defenses, I am not fond of dmg vs barrier since you can just dispel it, or am I missing something?

I think Magic stat is to strengthen your Barrier, not to damage the enemy's barrier

Unless they've changed things Magic controls how much damage your spells do. Willpower effects your mana pool. The more willpower the more mana. In the last couple games you'd usually do magic:willpower in a 2:1.

Unless they've changed things Magic controls how much damage your spells do. Willpower effects your mana pool. The more willpower the more mana. In the last couple games you'd usually do magic:willpower in a 2:1.

Not in DAI. Your mana pool is fixed at 100, so you can't chain cast huge spells

 

However, the mana regen is much faster and there are many ways to reduce mana cost and cooldown

 

Willpower is for magic damage and magic defense now

Magic increases attack for mages, and barrier damage bonus for everyone.

Willpower increases attack and magic defense for everyone.
