Hey, I think there was a thread like this but I cant find it anymore.

So my Inquisitor, in every cutscene she runs around like a very old lady with a hump, walking with a stick and she has some big cojones in her pants. You know, like the little old ladies in animes?

Could someone look into this? Most of the time the other femals in cutscenes look normal and walk normal. Only sometimes they look like my old lady Inquisitor.

Thanks

Yeah, that's pretty bad.  It's as if they gave as much attention to female inquisitors in dialogue scenes as they did to PC controls.

Yeah XD Still being in good hopes for a patch for pc ui and controls. Call me an optimist.

But I think she should have the standard female animations. It seems to me as it the game can't decide between male and female animations and mashes them up somehow? And her arms, they look a little bit... rotated inwards?

Outside the cut scenes she has the normal female walking/running animation and her shoulders and back are straight.

Thing is, the "standard" female animations (as used outside the cutscenes) aren't really any better. Instead of walking like an old lady, as you put it, she walks like she doesn't have a spine. Hips do not sway like that on real women.

They need to watch women walk because we don't over exaggerate our hip movement and we don't sit with our legs wide open and walk like thugs. (Most of us)

It makes me think my fem IQ is always exhausted. That the whole mess is really dragging her down. She can't even muster the strength to stand up straight and keep her shoulders back.

My girlfriend has experienced this with her Female Inquisitor. She plays a Female Qunari. When not in cut scenes she walks and runs like any other female. However when a cutscene comes up her Female Qunari Inquisitor walks like a guy. She's utterly confused about this. This happened to Hawke on many occassions for the Female Hawke in DA2. It was really strange that they did this. We're guessing that Bioware just used the same skeletal structure for the male versions of the characters on the female versions for cut scenes. A cheap copout we believe. We are hoping for a patch to fix this.

Hm Must only be the human because my elf and qunari don't do that.

Also Proxengold there are woman who do in real life walk like that naturally though I understand they are in the minority so please in future make sure you do your research before you post somthing that could mislead others to the contrary intentional or not also I understand that the majority of woman only walk like that when they want attention or so it has been stated by the females in these forums thank you.

Ps I am not trying to get in a argument I am just trying to politely inform you and maybe others in reading this will also hopefully learn that real woman can and do walk like that.

I noticed the same thing. She needs a Pilates class to work on her posture.

That's funny! I'd like to see a gif of that! LOL. I can see why people are complaining about the npc's showing no emotions. The player doesn't seem to have a soul in her.

As an optimist, ME4 will be better at animations and DA4 as well.

She's just tired for a moment. Everybody gets tired. Even superheroes like the inquisitors

By the way: You made a really nice face in the character generator. A little redhead devil.

Thank you Mushashi :)
That the Iron Bull likes red hair was a nice surprise and made my girl really happy.

Of course there are women who walk with lots of hip sway in real life. (Whether it is "natural" or not doesn't matter because if you do it often enough it becomes second nature anyway.) But even they do not walk like *that*. The femquisitor's walk is unnatural because it involves the hip sway without the according shoulder movement so it just looks wrong. Also, the running. I have never seen a woman who runs with that much hip sway. That can't be right.

As for the cutscenes, I've noticed that even on my male dwarf. He hunches over a lot when as a dwarf he has absolutely no reason to. And then he cocks his head at a strange angle and peers up at people from the corner of his eyes. It's weird. And the way he runs he looks almost like a gorilla, which fits him but I worry about other male characters.

I think if all they did was bring in the knees a little bit, that would already look a lot better. And less hunching over would also help.

To be honest a lot of ladies in the game seem to have their shoulders too far forwards. It's noticeable on Sera, and especially

Haven't really noticed. Though even when slouched my Inquisitor is towering over everyone else, so I guess it's not as noticeable. :S

lol yeah fem inquisitor has horrid animations. dafuq were they thinking. voice acting on voice1 is not great either (haven't tested voice2), but I guess not everyone can be held to the high standards of Jennifer Hale (femshep from ME).

I didn't have that problem on my human playthrough. My elf does seem kind of slouchy though. Sera doesn't do it, she even seems to keep hers back. She's taller than my elf.
