Ok i've been working on this quest forever. My court aproval is at 85 and i have dirt on all the people involved except gaspard. When i get to the battle with the Duchess it is so freaking hard. I am fighting her on casual mode and she still kills me in under 30 seconds and i have to start over. I feel really lame having such a hard time. Honestly i'd really like to avoid the whole battle all together and get the three of them to get along, but i have no idea how. what am i doing wrong?

Get your court approval to 100 before you confront the duchess and you can let the court simply take her away. Always pick the middle option during conversations with nobles/ during the dance scene and you'll get the approval in no time.

Well, this is what I did *spoiler*I managed to get them to work together. I found dirt on all 3 of them, and didn't tell them anything about the others. At the final confrontation I told Cullen, I would talk to the Duchess, so I exposed her in front of the court. After that she gets arrested(or killed depeneding on choice). At the final coversation between Gaspard, the empress, and Brianna, I told them all 3 are at fault and told them to work together. In the end they did.*spoiler*

How do you get dirt on all three of them? do i have to max out the blackmail bar? because it looks like i have it 80% full *spoiler* because i talked to the elf that was attacked and she said that she would testify, I also found the naked guy in the emperess's chamber, but when i try to confront them about it the option doesnt even show up. When i talk to the three girls working for the emperess to tell them about what everyone else is doin they ask for proof and again no option shows up about me telling them these things.*spoiler* i feel really dumb trying to figure all this out.

I am being super mysterious and whatnot but i can't figure out how to raise my aproval raiting either. i chose to dance and answered everything correctly. I have talked to whoever i am able to talk to and nothing raises it anymore. I also cannot find anymore coins. maybe that's the problem i don't know. *spoiler* at the last confrontation it doesnt even give me the option to confront the duchess she just goes to kill her and i tell Cullen to stop her but nothing happens *spoiler*

it doesnt give me the option to confront her! is that because my aproval isn't high enough? *spoiler* I'm not even sure where the heck she is until the scene with the rift where she tells me her plan like all bad guys do *spoiler* When do i confront her? *spoiler* after i close the rift and make it back to the ballroom (with the dudes agreement to testify) Cullen asks me what to do and the only options are to let the duchess kill her or go get the duchess. I tell him to get the duchess but nothing happens. She still tries to kill Celene and then i have to fight her and i get my ass whooped. *spoiler*

At the *spoiler* fade rift/duchess encounter I got the mercenary to testify against gaspard and join the inquisition *spoiler*. I think that might be what you're missing.

i get him to testify but i don't think i got him to join the inquisition. does that really make a difference?

No I think testifying is enough. So if you did that, then I think that your problem is approval. I guess you need to have it at near 100.

i guess i'll give that a shot. its better than starting the whole thing over again. i honestly don't understand why the battle is so hard or else i wouldnt even care.I'm seriously playing on casual mode and it seems like i'm playing on super hard mode. I got her health down to 50% and she just destroyed me. I even had my potions full also. i promise i'm not retarded. i feel like i'm missing something and thats why its so god aweful. i have no clue. maybe i'm under leveled. i think i'm at level 10 or 11

She jumps around a lot, so if you have a melee-heavy party that's gonna be a challenge.  I went with Varric, Vivienne, and Cassandra, with myself as a mage, so we had a pretty easy time damaging her while she's up on the fountain or jumping around.  Keep your barriers up and focus on the little dudes when they spawn.

Yeah well, when you start a mission it gives you a prefered level. That mission's prefered level was 15. So yeah, you are underleveled.

is there a way to change your party without starting over? i had varric, solas, bull, and myself as a rouge.

dagnabit that's what i get for being impatient.... *spoiler* i heard you saw morrigan on this quest *spoiler* and i got super excited. i guess i'll go to a previous save point or try and figure out how to do this without the battle.

I did it at level 12, i think it does say suggested level 11-15, so it is not crazy hard. But i dont have any good advice. My approval was at like 30 since i was lost in the garden for like an hour...

Im a dw dagger most mu damage is front loaded through steath, so when she jumped on the wall I hid behind something and waited her out. Usually had to kill whatever she summoned up.

But a couple levels ine or the other can make a huge difference in damage you take so maybe it is just that.

Ok I started the quest over. I followed the main quest and got the dirt on all three of them (by getting the witnesses to testify). I did NOT rat anyone out to the other people (not even my advisors) and I stayed neutral with every conversation I had. Then I made sure my approval was 100% and then I did get the option to confront the duchess when Cullen aproaches me in the ball room after closing the rift. Then I could make all three of them work their crap out and not have to do the battle with the duchess. I also sentenced her to do common people work back at skyhold. I feel like a champion.

The suggested level is 12-15 btw. Wish I saw that before.

That's how it works, you tell them about what each of them did and after that you get them to work together.

can some one HELP ME Wicked eyes and wicked heart what have I done wrong I triggered the wicked eyes at level 14 but wont start and finally got to level 23 and still cant start it and no other missions on map to do but clean up existing ones except wicked eyes and wicked hearts so went back before the it was trigged deleted a lot of saves almost started again still no luck what am I doing wrong

 

What do you mean it won't start? What happens when you go to the war table and select it? Please provide more specifics
