I'm still not finished with the main story, but I never really understood why he disapproves if you keep the wardens.

Yea pretty much because of their dealings with the demons and he doesnt think they could be trusted since they are easily controlled by the elder one

Yeah, I am pretty sure it has to do with that, too. Spirits are people too!

I've had no problem making others like me with this playthough.  Just Viv.  The others have kinda been middle of the road if not completely on my side.

Conversations and attitudes towards the NPC will change as their disaproval keeps going higher. It's kinda neat. They will eventually leave the Inquisition if they hate you enough, so if you hate Viv that much, get her to hate you thoroughly and she will straight up leave.

That's funny. I went pro mage and treat them as allies and don't have any troubles with Vivienne.  But then I don't want mages wandering the countryside willynilly.  More something like Cullen's vision of open Circles and non-asshat Templars.

So far no one seems to hate me. Cassandra disapproves of nearly everything I say and do but if she hates me she doesn't show it.  Vivi has been a bit short with me, more so than usual, but I don't think she outright hates me. I thought Sera hated me but it seems were are best friends now, probably because

Other than those, everyone seems to like me at least a little.

Cassandra was so angry with me at one point that she got black out drunk.

I get along with everyone really well, except for Vivienne.  I just do. NOT. like. her.  She is so condescending to my character and thinks she's better than everyone else.  She'll probably be leaving my party very soon because I won't kiss her butt.  Her only positives are her fashion sense and Knight Enchanter tree.

Sera hated me so much that she threatened me, So my Inquisitor flew of the handle at her and told her to leave the Inquisition. Twas a great moment.

There is actually some banter between Solas and Blackwall where he strongly hints that he would be pleased as punch if the Wardens weren't around anymore. Blackwall seems a bit put off by it, for obvious reasons, I suppose. Blackwall may be a bit touchy though, because Vivienne was also able to 'upset' him. She called him 'precious.' He did not approve of her verbal backhanding.

I am curious as to why Solas was much more immediately friendly with my Fem!Trevelyan than my Male!Adaar, however. Trev and Solas went on a Fade Trip together, he told her stories. He really just seems to want Adaar to get his ugly mug away from him. xD

Blackwall and Cole already left my party. I'm pretty sure Solas would not mind doing so either but he seems to want to stick around for the Inquisition.

I actually reloaded when Cassandra had four big negative reputation hits in a row because she is my main warrior and I can't afford to lose her. So will just play it as my Inquisitor playing her/not telling her the truth of how I'm just out for myself. She liked me quite a lot despite all that until I told her I thought the Chantry should be dismantled. xD

Solas annoyed the **** out of me after the Adament storyline was completed. Disapproved of how I sided with the Templars and kept the Grey Wardens after trying to use blood magic. Then he called my race (Qunari) a bunch of brutes and that's when I punched him right in the face.

Can't say I regret doing that. His biting sarcasm and derision towards me was just exasperating.

Blackwall was one of my favorite companions and we were on pretty good terms when he suddenly left. I'm not sure why. We had a conversation about him once tying up a dog and then leaving it restrained. Then when he talked about how he regretted it, I said that he was a good man and he seemed to reciprocate the sentiment towards me. Then, before the mission where I had to tame a dragon to defeat Corypheus, he was apparently unavailable. I'm not sure if that was because of a glitch or because I said that he should help the world in any way he can. I'm actually a bit sketchy on what I said to him before he apparently left, but there didn't seem to be any bad blood between us.

I am waiting for the Solas confrontation to happen. Freed the templars, sided with the Grey Wardens, didn't even get the fade-cutscene, so I think we are pretty screwed.

In my previous playthrough, I didn't really got along with Sera, but I'm really good with her now. Same with Bull.

The only one I never managed to ****** off is Varric. Somehow he just goes along with everything I say.

I think the closest I have is a very neutral Solas.

I'm pretty good with most of my companions, including Vivienne (though I'm playing as a pro-circle mage, so that probably helps a lot).  Solas is an interesting character but I find myself forgetting about him on my sweeps through Skyhold, so I guess I'm not really sure how he feels about me.  And I never recruited Sera, I found her abrasive on my first encounter with her and on a whim told her to get lost.

Sera disapproves of almost everything I do, and I tiptoe around Vivienne.  Everyone else seems pretty devoted.

Vivienne disapproves of me a fair bit (pro mage freedom) and Sera a lot because I'm playing an elfy elf.

Weirdly enough Solas often disapproves of my Inquisitor (sided with GWs for example) but he's in love with her anyway LOL.

That is normal, talk around skyhold to investigate where he went.

Everyone loves, or at least likes, me except Sera. Dorian, Vivienne, Varric, and Solas seem to like me the most. Of course I don't have reservations about using personal conversations just for fluffing approval. Varric is the only companion I'm actually honest with.

Is there an "x" over his character card? This should be pretty normal; if you go to near the stables where he usually is, there should be someone you can talk to to start Blackwall's personal quest. At least in my game, after that talk is when his quest started up.

On topic, in my first run Solas loved me basically because I was constantly asking questions and doing all the sidequests. I was pretty sure Cassandra and I were going to be enemies, but by the end of the game she was calling me her friend, which I thought was pretty cool, how things turned out.

The only character that my Inquisitor didn't get along with was Vivienne; my Adaar pretty much avoided talking to her, and was pretty abrupt/snarky when she did. Yet I still got her personal quest, and she was still around by the end of the game.

Solas. He pretty much straight up refused to talk with me for a looong time. Because after Redcliffe, I chose to keep the mages at Skyhold. So, I guess he thinks I'm keeping them prisoner? Even though I built them a damned tower. But, I did get him to eventually like me enough to stay, at least until the end. Viv was a tough one too after that, but I did get her quest done.
