The environments are stunning. If only Thedas had instagram...
I did not love that ME3 introduced conversations that didn't always zoom in for the cinematic close ups, and instead stuck with the default floating camera. That said, while I prefer the cinematic style, DAI uses a subtle zoom that is a step closer to a happy medium.
The Red Hart screams like a dinosaur and I kind of love it.
The little animals are cute. I really want to have pets in this game. Gimme nugs, fennecs, and of course mabari puppies. I will continue to champion this cause forever.
I was able to make an attractive character with this new system. I've never been able to do that before. Maybe my eye is better, but I'm pretty sure it's mainly the new character creator system.
Multiplayer is pretty fun, but plays a little shallow right now. I do see potential for really deep tactical gameplay that requires intelligent coordination, but in practice it has been pretty much just tanks and DPSers running around smashing vases. Hopeful that it will evolve at the higher levels of difficulty.
I'm playing on a PS4. The tactical combat controls are pretty squirrely, but I'm getting used to it. I had moments where I would try a tactic like corralling the enemies towards my tank with ice wall that would be thwarted by my party's AI teleporting to the wrong side of the wall. I think that if I'm going to use tactics effectively, I need to spend some time tweaking the AI priorities. I think the components are there, but it's going to take time and effort to effectively use this system.
I played at work during my lunch break using Remote Play on my Vita. It was actually nice! I would really like it if they remapped the buttons similar to what Destiny did (or allowed us to do so) with Vita's R and L mapping to R2 and L2 and using the front facing touch screen instead of the back. But it was serviceable and I was able to accomplish the less intense tasks with no difficulty.
I've attempted crafting but I just haven't collected the right materials yet so I've only made one suit of armor that I can't wear. Looking forward to this part of the game opening up more to me.
I love how the game looks.
I like how there's a lot to do but it isn't linear after the introduction.
I like how Cassandra has her sword sheathed at her side and not on her back.
I don't like that my character went to a fancy party fully armed.
Sera makes me laugh.
The american accent for females isn't doing it for me. I thought it started off well enough but many of the little interactions lately have felt lifeless to the point I'm considering abandoning that character completely.
The english accents for both sexes are nice.
How awesome is it that we actually have choices for voices?
And one not really spoiler but spoilish comment:
Spoiler
TLDR: I adore this game.
