Mark Darrah said DA:I was more mature than Mass Effect and that it would be suited for HBO stuff (Game of Thrones duh), and there are certainly obvious nods like the Iro-- uhh Inquisitor's throne that confirms how badly Bioware wants to join the ranks of Game of Thrones.
Question is, is DA:I really that cleverly written like GoT? Does it have the complexity, the greyness, the charm or even the level of Drama that the HBO show has?
Personally I can't quite figure out what I really think of the writing in this game. I mean it can be all over the place. Sometimes it's dark and has an air of seriousness to it, and the next moment it feels like sit-com material. I quite like the humor in the sitcom moments, but then again, I don't want a sitcom laugh, I want a game-world that is serious about itself.
Thoughts and opinions?
Having played it, do you still think Inquisition is "HBO material"?
