I liked the robes in DAO.  I liked the robes in DA2.  I do not like this french style garbage I have to wear in this game.  The templars get there stuff, dalish get some as well.  But after 62 hours in the game, I have yet to see anything that I like.  In fact, I see four different styles for mages.  Warden, battlemage, and "enchanter" (looks like a snakeoil salesman) and then upgraded bites.  They even have the staffs from both games in here....why no robes?  

I was also extremely disappointed with the perk "mages armor."  Four perks and it gave me basically the same ugly crap that's sold in the capital.  

Overall a good game, but I hate how my character looks.

Most ppl dislike them.... Plus I felt kinda retarded fighting the Arishok while in a dress.....

Nothing like trekking the wilderness in my robe and wizard hat. Until I got caught on that branch. And that rock. At least I look like I came out of bed this morning with my awesomely impractical robe!

we're mages, we use robes.  We dont use steel.  I just dont understand why they wouldnt put them in game.

Well the mage robes are in the game, they are just on then npcs only! I don't mind the mage armor we have to choose from, but from my experience so far in my playthrough, I am finding a severe lack of different armor designs.

can you post some of the mage armor stuff? I want to try a mage too, but I want to know the look of it. I personally like the style of the armors but it seems that every class has roughly the same armor model...

The orlesian battlemage armor is the closest thing to mage robes you are going to get think.

That's the Battlemage Armor arms and legs. The armor looks like it's Enchanter's Armor?

That's some heavy armor i crafted with silverite (no class restriction) + arm and leg upgrade which can look like that on heavy armor.
