For the first time in a Dragon Age game, I like them all - they are all so different from each other and each has their bit of awesome.

Vivienne gave me Joan Collins/Dynasty flashback vibes which I thought were hilarious.

Blackwall's twist makes him go from meh to intense.

Cassandra is just great - I'm not normally fond of the ultra-religious types but she just shines with a layered, warm personality.

Varric is Varric - nuff said.

Solas is one giant, fascinating mystery. Want moar.

Dorian seems to have a lot of pain hidden under his humor armor that makes him feel very real.

Iron Bull voiced by FPJ can do no wrong.

Cole is heartbreak with a hat. His personal quest truly moved me, particularly as I'd read the novel.

Sera is hard work. Perhaps the least relatable for me but still very original.

So yeah, no hate from me.

I did hate Cole, some of his dialogue really aggravates me but then his personal quest did make me retract that, it's quite powerful

Solas is hands down the worst companion, he's a straight up butt. Trusting people is bad, helping Cole is bad, recruiting people is bad, everything you do he disapproves with unless it fits his very strict ancient beliefs.

You must have gotten a bugged verison because he gives approval for me all the time even helping Cole. He even suggest on what could help Cole in the game against blood magic. Just saying.

I liked Vivienne's entrance, when she killed that noble for me. Everything past that was terrible though and I only wish I got the option to kick her out somehow, she dissapproved of pretty much every decision I made yet stayed.

I liked:

I love Viv. Agreed with her on almost everything.

Cassandra- good convo and relevant to the story

Iron Bull

Sera- once you stop taking her seriously and accept her as comic releif.

Dorian- Hilarious and entertaining

disliked:

Varric- Beyond boring, did not care for this character and hope to never see him

Cole- Also dont care for him, rarely used him

Blackwall- Better than Varric and Cole but bored me to tears

Solas- Boring but atleast provided decent info and served his role.

I didn't get Dorian and Cole yet, but so far I like all of the companions. I love their banter.

Funnily Viv is one of my favorite companions along with Cass, Bull, Varric, Dorian and Cole. What can i say i love stuck up, sexy people with good sense of humor (except Cole)).
I like all of the companions but those 6 are at my top list.
I find Sera weird in a sense that sometimes she feels real and i get warmed up to her and sometimes she feels forced, as if she was made for comic relief and tries very hard to be such. Dorian feels natural to me, jokes and everything, Sera feels forced sometimes. I still like her though, some of her conversations are great.
I was expecting to be indifferent to Varric but he is more serious and i like it. He is still Varric but he feels more mature.
Oh and Viv approves of almost everything i say and do, so this should say something about me :D

I like Viv's personality, but hate the fact that I never got a chance to discuss the flaws of her logic. She has some good point though.
Sera is fine. It's just hard to get her approval.
As for Cole, I don't know if it's the voice acting or the actual writing...it's a case of trying too hard to impress. I feel a little awkward when he speaks.

Vivienne is kinda fun. I knew she and my Inquisitor wouldn't agree on everything, like her viewpoint on the Wardens. She and I are just going to have to keep on disagreeing.

Cole was a bit trickier to deal with. I like him, and he's a swift killer on the battlefield. When it came to his side quest, I felt a lot better about the direction I took his character.

Hate is perhaps too strong.

I disliked Vivienne (disliked her enough to not recruit her in my mage playthrough... which, despite being the 3rd one started, was really the only one I've finished yet... over 90 hours, yikes.)

I was disappointed in Blackwall's character for 80% of the game. He just seemed so bland...

However, aside from those two...

I loved Solas and Cole. Their banter was great... creepy and ominous (and, in retrospect, OMG the foreshadowing is over 9000) but awesome. I really liked Iron Bull... going to try and romance him in my next playthrough.

I enjoyed Sera and Varric and I was pretty ok with Cassandra and Dorian.

I thought it would be Cole but I mostly feel sorry for him..

So far I'm meh on Blackwall and Sera. I'll drag em around and see if I feel differently I doubt it though. I already feel like drop kicking Sera off the balcony.

The only character complaint I have is the Bulls head is just waaaaay too small for his body.  It's just weird looking.

I loved them all. I think if I really had to pick, Solas would be bottom of my list purely because we disagreed with each other so much. But even then I didn't hate him. He even said he respected me. :D

Very true. It is like someone placed an orange between the shoulders of Beorn in the Hobbit movie.

He likes helping Cole in a very specific way. If you attempt to humanize him more, he goes off on you for "letting Cole become something he's not" and "defying his very nature" and a bunch of twaddle

Sera and Blackwall. Sera is annoying as all hell and Blackwall is boring and broody.

Viv was, well, a B word. You just get the feeling that IRL she'd probably try to kill you, seize power and kill everyone who ever spoke your name again. She had her moments though I will admit that, you don't have to a like a character to acknowledge they are a great addition to the game.

This is the first Dragon Age cast that I actually have almost no problems with. Everyone is very well written. My least favorite is Sera, but that's just because I don't find her chipper attitude to really mix well with my inquisitors... I think she's kind of annoying. D:

Cole is cool, definitely one of my favorite chars (despite his constant reminiscence of past events that, half the time, I don't know what the **** he's going on about), but his voice is just...wrong.

His voice in itself is good - soft and youthful, appropriate for his character -, but the VA forces it to make him sound...I don't know, unsure of himself and maybe a little sinister (since he's an eerie entity). Sadly, it just ends up making him sound as though he's mentally retarded.

I like the idea behind the character. Also liked the moral dilemma of him having to deal with conflicting emotions - the desire to help others and the want to kill the templar. Great character. Helped him become more human. And loved Varric's way of handling his desire for revenge. As a matter of fact, t'was one of the few times when I fully disagreed with Solas.

If Varric has one consistent quality to him (in spite of his rather shady personality), is that he's GREAT at handling people. The dwarf showed he has a deep understading of the troubles of the soul.

I love Vivienne and Sera

Vivienne was a commoner who ascended to an esteemed political position by hard work in the game. She believes that you need to be cold, ruthless and manipulative in order to succed, she's a fascinating character and her snark never ceases to amuse me.I disagree with her on many things, though I can understand her point of view and her methods, a relatable, witty, fun character all around.

Sera is bat-**** crazy.I didn't know what to think of her when I met her.I grew to love her as time passed, she's just a blast!Nothing more to be said, a crazy blast of a person who is completely insane.

As for the other companions, I adore them all, Dorian, Solas, Cole, Cassandra, The Iron Bull...<3 <3

I liked Varric a lot, he was witty and fun, had good values and is always a blast to have around, but the new companions were more exciting for me personally, so I didn't take him along with me as much as I'd like.A shame really, Varric's awesome.

The only companion that I SLIGHTLY disliked was Blackwall, I found him bland and boring, though a good character overall.I can see why people like him, though he was too cliche for me.

"Yes, honor, let's help people, I'm a warrior who fights for the innocent...I've made mistakes in the past, I must attone myself, blah blah, good warrior guy with a dark past."

I love Sheryl Chee, but this is the first character of hers I ever found boring and utterly predictable.

Otherwise, the companions are fantastic if you ask me!

I didn't realize that your abilities could gain disapproval. That's pretty cool.

I picked up the Templar path on my two handed warrior and both Cullen and Dorian had cutscenes involved with them. I thought it was pretty cool.
