This is the first Bioware game where I like everyone actually.
While I had my problems with Solas, overall the companions in Dragon Age: Inquisition were better than the ones in Dragon Age: Origins.

That's not cockney. More Essex Girl/Chav. Reminded me more of Vicky Pollard from Little Britain.
Yea I definitely get a Vicky vibe from Sera, I just wish it came included with a translator though because sometimes it sounds like she's speaking gibberish in between the crazy.
Weird how the majority of responses have been how they dislike the women...
...hmmm.... curious.
Sera.
Her writing style, attitude and behaviour just feels entirely out of place in the setting for me, I understand what Bioware was going for with source material and inspiration to her but it didn't click with me, at all.
There is a reason to why she is the only companion that can straight out be booted from the inquisition, bioware themselves knows that a character like that might not go down well with everyone.

Varric. I finally get to build a female dwarf character to run barefoot through all that chest hair and he doesn't even show interest. Hell hath no fury. NO FURY.
So this. He even has a big dramatic guilt arc in this one. He's not insta-best friend with no drama this time. There is totally story romance potential.

Yes, she does have a point, but what does that have to do with our character?... He/she wasn't the leader. Vivienne was in Exactly the Same position. She moans a out how you stayed in haven... Well so did you ffs! You should be able to call her out on her bs. I was surprised there was no option to.
Still don't know. Even though the Inquisitor isn't "officially" in charge, she's still one giving all the orders. When she's finally put in charge officially, one of the reasons given by Cassandra is that you've already been leading in practice anyway.
Everyone that isn't Varric for he is the only one aware that perhaps judging the inquisitor over every other decision negatively is a downer.
Situation: I can't save the puppies AND the kittens from the flaming Darkspawn infested pit.
Choose: Save the puppies.
Sera Greatly Approves!
Vivienne Greatly Disapproves!
Varric Greatly Understands The Choice Was Difficult And Knows You Feel Badly Not Being Able To Do Both And Thus Doesn't Berate You! Thumbs Up Varric!
I was a bit surprised first about the Grey Warden disapproval. Then I thought about it and I understood. They were so engrossed by their only reason to exist that they did some extremely unsavoury things that would have resulted in a completely crapsack world blight or no.
IMHO Vivienne is extremely sweet when she wants to be, and she doesn't, despite what people may assume, have a heart of ice.
I don't hate any of them but Vivienne is someone I wouldn't care to spend a lot of time with
A little too supercillious
Edit: and aesthetically as characters they are all great

Same here its quite a shocker for me actually.
Ehh I don't hate any characters. At 1st, I find Sera a bit crazy, but after talking and playing pranks with her more and more, she has become my favorite character. On the other hand, Dorian who I was looking forward to doesn't catch my eyes. Well, I haven't finished the game, so we'll see,

For me its First Enchanter Vivienne. Im a female human mage and she treats me like her child. WTF?
Does anyone actually like Vivienne?
Are you joking?
Of course there are people who like her.
She is fabulous and a voice of reason amid the chaos.
Not hate, but never care those two:
Sera(elf women are so ugly now, but she is ugliest of them all, this bother me and i can't...),
and Vivienne(i don't like her story+her skills are useless for me).
Both be in my party few times only.
Before like a bit, but now i hate Blackwall(before he was be often my tank, but...no more,i hate him for his story).
Else i hate that my team chat each other so rarely, they are just being silence almost time and they are don't care what's going on at game, like about romance, before they are joking a lot and flirting each other, but now it not happen, so sad. I was hoping that in this part of game will be more dialogues and much more romance scene, but ... ehhh (TOT).

Are you riding around with them in lala land most of the time? Because I get a lot of banter when walking around.

Funny enough that's what I like about varric lol.
How about we don't
I didn't. I was just musing at this phenomenon, Sera seemed like one of the more interesting characters for example, but at least this particular forum opinion conglomeration is down on her and the other female characters as well.

Vivienne is awesome
I do not hate any of them at the moment. That could change, but I do not expect it to.

Depends on how you define interesting I guess, there's a reason for why she is the only companion that can be booted out after joining, which hints at bioware themselves knowing how some players might feel about her.

I think her writer said that Sera is probably the companion that you would either love or hate
I hated Vivienne. Her stuck up nature just... ugh! No words...
2nd least favorite: Sera. Her personality just annoyed me and she was so hard to follow with her convoluted thinking. Cole was easier to understand! lol
