I just keep forgetting that Cole is there. Maybe his power is real.
Most hated companion(s) in DAI?

I specked Sera as a dual-weilding rogue because I thought Bioware forgot to give me a dagger-using companion and I already had Varric for range. Now I don't have an archer. ![]()

Blackwall was okay at the beginning and throughout the story I was just pissed I couldn't call him out for his missing knowledge about a thing he should have known. That was a pretty big flaw in my opinion, because everybody who played the previous games knows how wrong he is. Calling him out should have been an option.
Otherwise, I am okay with all of the characters. My protagonists get along with different types of characters (eg. one of them pissing of Solas big time, the other one getting along very well), which is pretty refreshing for me, as they all have good reasons to hate or like me.
VIv, Dorian, Varric, Cass and Bull are my favorite though. I can get behind their views pretty easily. Sera took me a while to figure out, as she doesn't even know her place in the world.

Sera. I thought she was pretty interesting upon first meeting, but my God after the second I wanted to smother her with a pillow. When doing the customary running around Skyhold talking to all companions and upping their approval, I simply couldn't respond to her nicely. When the option to say, "Grow up", to her appear, I mashed 'A' like it was going out of fashion.
My favourites are Cole, Dorian and Iron Bull by far. I'm a bit gutted I chose Cole to go human, as hearing about his pranks was brilliant.
Vivienne I'm pretty ambivalent, but I did have a laugh when I couldn't find the Snowy Wyvern gland (I had killed it while aoeing other wyverns down, didn't notice, quest marker disappeared as I'd killed it but didn't loot) and only had a bog-standard wyvern gland. Gave it to her as a 'lie', didn't really think much of it, but then ended up killing that old man. Whoopsie!

Cole. Don't know what to make of the guy. He is like a mixture of dopehead and labile psychopath.

For me its First Enchanter Vivienne. Im a female human mage and she treats me like her child. WTF?
Does anyone actually like Vivienne?
A lot of people like her, just go to her topic and see for yourself. I am playing female mage too and find her awesome ![]()
Oh, and I LOVE Sera too. Amazingly written!
Can not say I hate any companion just find some of them a bit bland, like BW.

Vivienne because she arrogant, selfish and ugly. I get impression that she hates rebel mages and Fiona only because they screwed her career also she seems to have some ulterior motives for joining the inquisition.

She is self-serving person. I think this is when one of the Arishok's quotes can describe her personality.
"Look at you. Like fat Dathrasi you feed and feed and complain only when your meal is interrupted."

She is not meant to be liked and does not particularly want to be liked. I think she comes quite well as designed. Plus as a KE you are likely to have here in the more difficult fights. She is one of my favourate characters - but if stuck up bitches wind you up the wrong way then...

I neither hate or dislike any of the characters personally. I think they are all awesome for their varied personalities and attitudes. As for my Inquisitor's viewpoints on them, well... that would be varied depending on the Inquisitor.

Sera seems to a mixture of a pointless prankster and a marxist communist ideologue.

Hmm hard to say didn't like Viv at first, but keep going through talking with her whenever I could and ended up liking her.
Because my first playthrough ended up being templar supportor, I was thinking I wouldn't like Cole at first but ended up liking him and he was more interesting when he become more human also.
So to answer this question, had chars I didn't like at first, but in the end ended up liking them all.

I don't like The Iron Bull.
Hes trying to hard to be a soldier, to hard to be a bro, too hard to be cool, his retelling of Seheron and war stories comes off as flat and uninspired as I'd expect from anyone that had never truly been involved in war. His character being written and VOA'd as if the character is just SO COOL that it doesn't need to respect the characters that came before him is also very annoying.
Also the boring over the top sexual orienteering with the character. The whole...hey I'll **** anything approach from him, while at the same time trotting out Krem as if Bull is somehow sexually progressive and not just a big walking male trope is...hilarious.
I loathe the Iron Bull....can't stand him, hes not funny, hes doesn't feel real and I'd prefer BioWare stop hiring VOA's to portray hardened soldiers who've never known a hard time other than perhaps a camping trip in Aspen once.
I also detest Sera.....gee, a self important, self centered, willfully ignorant, crazy lesbian? Wow thats never happened ever.

well Viv... I mean "Mam" is a great personality. I laughed so hard when Sera asked her if she can turn her snob attitude off... "There it is again! Can you shut it off?" Or when bull called her "Viv" and she regaled him. Her entrance was also cool, but I pegged her as "me-myself-and-I" from the beginning, she evaded my pointed question with stoic mobilitx(I call it that). I clash with her on different topics(my char is a mage). Sera is interesting "no breeches", but I only take her when I'm using Viv and Bull, the banter is funny. Even the Bull and Cass..."Are you turned on as I am right now?" that is funny right there. I find she relaxes a lot with Varric and Bull the longer you play through. If there is one personality I don't like it would have to be Solas. He rubs me as slimey(don't like anything that slithers).

Sera seems to a mixture of a pointless prankster and a marxist communist ideologue.
This makes her sound way more appealing than she has been so far, but then I've only just recruited her.
I'm not far enough into the game to have fully experienced most of the companions' personalities so far (plus I have the annoying bug that cuts out all the banter in the wild) but Solas giving me approval every time I open my mouth is starting to get a little creepy. Simmer, baldy.

I did not hate anyone of them, I simply could not care for anyone of them to hate them at all... for some reason I had even more connection with some of the characters back in DA2 and not to mention DA:O where I loved everyone. I realy liked Varick and for some reason I did like Culen`s change, but overall there were characters which I simply did not use, nor hate or liked, because I was not enough bound to them to care.
But which I found quite disturbing are two scenes with Ironbull, the one with romance and the other one with beating, those were realy akward.

I think they didn't let you because the people of the inquisition don't know what he is right or wrong about. They wouldn't know to call him out. ![]()

This is so funny. He's absolutely a non-entity for me in this playthrough. Outside of the initial 'look for Cole' cutscene in the Tavern, I've not gotten any unique dialogue with him and he hasn't given me any companion quests. I'm 60 hours in at this point! He's the only companion who hasn't given me one yet. I've completed Dorian, Bull, Vivienne, and Sera's questlines. And I've done at least one of the companion quests from Cassandra, Blackwall, Varric, and Solas. Nothing from Cole. He also hasn't had any conversation topics for days. It's probably because I don't take him out with me too often. But I don't take him out because I don't find him interesting.
That being said, I don't hate anyone. I slightly dislike Sera at times (she's an immature brat at times), but I certainly don't hate her. But maybe I'm just more tolerant than others. The only DA companions that I've ever hated were Justice, Velanna, and Sebastian.
