Will people be queuing for high level dungeons whilst I am stuck waiting for a group to do lvl1 dungeons? Or does everyone queue for the same dungeons?

Edit: Wrong thread. If someone can move it at some point that'd be great. Or, just wait for it to trickle down and disappear :)

People still mostly play on the easiest difficulty, and veteran players still respec a lot so no being late won't ever hinder your experience.

no worries there.  many players are still unlocking characters so there is no shortage of routine level players.  once you're say level 9-10+ maybe try threatening level.

for myself, still sticking to routine for the most part leveling up characters, and sometimes I switch to a higher level char to carry low levels.

the thing is when I do finally respec any characters I'll be back at routine level to get them levelling up again.

If anything, it will be a lot easier.  Experienced players prestiging will keep routine difficulty filled, and they get to keep their high level weapons in use (not to mention all their personal experience).  Dont worry if you arent getting a lot of kills or feel like you are doing too much at the start.  All experience and gold is shared.

Yep.  Generally there's a fair amount of decent players out there that will man up and switch to a higher level character if they think their group can't make it through the dungeon.  The more time passes, the better geared your average player is going to be, the easier it'll be to clear dungeons.

As for trying threatening, I'd really base that decision less on your level, and more on the item level of your weapon.  Being a higher level's great and all, but it's not nearly as important as having a good weapon.  A level 20 with an item level 10 weapon is going to get pretty heavily outclassed by a level 10 with an item level 20 weapon.  The gear you get is entirely dependent on the RNG, so level really does not equate to strength.  That said, you can still give it a shot, but understand that if you aren't decently geared you're going to have a hard time pulling your weight.

The only thing you will miss, is the early release MP game where everyone is

undergeared, and lacks class optimization knowledge.  During that phase, routine

is much more challenging.

Nah, you'll be fine, hop in. There's plenty of people playing routine, and if anything you'll have more competent teammates with better gear compared to the first few days.

I tried it last night. Started rocky. I would throw barrier at the wrong time because

1) I did not know how to speak even though I could hear the two console players talking. When I tried to speak through my headset they said it was choppy. So I suppose it is not push to talk?

2) I could not hear the instructions being provided because the stupid NPC comments kept talking over the Player.

3) It was my first run and I did not know where or how many mobs there would be.

First run we died at Demon Boss.
Second run we cleared out the Humanoid Thief area.
third run (and every attempt since) my game crashes to the Desktop with no error message.

I also got a blue staff. Not sure if that is the starter weapon or if I got lucky getting it in the run.

So a little good and a lot bad =(

Definitely wasn't a starter weapon.  Sounds like you got a decent upgrade to start off with.  There's currently no push-to-talk or option to disable voice chat in game, so that can be a bit frustrating.  I think I was two matches in before I realized I was transmitting everything.  Unfortunately, CTDs are fairly common.  A lot more common than in single player at any rate.  You just have to hop back in and try again.

The Demon Commander boss is really difficult until you figure out his move set.  There's a thread either in this forum, or over in the Combat Strategy forum that has a video showing what to look for to dodge that attack where he pops out of the ground spinning.  I'd recommend taking a look at that.  Generally you just want to stay spread out and keep moving during that fight.  Keep an eye on the Commander and start sprinting (tap shift) when you see him go underground and continue to do so until you see him again, or 5-10 seconds has passed.

The Templar Commander is the other difficult boss.  He's actually really easy once you're familiar with him, but he wrecks inexperienced groups.  The first thing you need to know is that you should never try to tank him.  He's very, very slow, so you can just kite him around while team mates whittle him down.  He has three attacks you need to watch out for:

-The first is his "cyclone" style attack where he just spins in circles with his sword, getting progressively faster as time goes on.  He'll pause and hold his sword off to the side as if winding up for the spin, that's your indicator he's about to start.  When you see it, make sure you're out of melee range.  If he's targeting you, try to put an object between you.  Wall, railing, crate, whatever.  He can't jump, so he ends up just spinning in place harmlessly.  If you can't do that, then just keep running until he stops.

-The second attack is one where he slams his sword on the ground and sends out a shockwave in the direction he hit.  He does this three times in a row, so make sure you dodge all of them.  Again, this one's pretty easy to dodge.  I believe he holds the sword over his head before using it, so just look out for that.  When you see it, start running from side to side.  That way when he strikes the ground, you've already moved out of his path.  Just try to make sure you aren't aiming him in the direction of your team mates.

-The final attack you need to watch out for is his leap.  He'll point at someone and then the ground will be marked with a cloudy red circle.  Again, you just need to run out of it quickly.

As for the Venatori Commander... well, she's a pushover.  I'm almost more concerned about the Venatori Stalkers than I am the Commander.  She's got some attacks of her own, but none of them are particularly dangerous, so just burn her down as fast as you can.

Anyway, it can be pretty frustrating at times, but it's also a lot of fun.

Not at all, it is much tougher to find a high level game than a low level one and the fact that you gain points for promoting will mean that the low level lobbies will always be busy.

Also worth noting you're hardly late. Of my friends, the vast majority are binging single player and will only dig into multiplayer when that's done...so we're probably going to get a steady stream of new players. Especially given how long this MP will be supported and how many people are going to buy over the holidays or after they read more reviews. Anyone joining in the next few weeks is probably an early bird.

Kraydan, if you keep crashing, the memory leak monster raised its ugly head. Check whether that's the case in your task manager.

Unfortunately I find the memory leak doesn't clear once the game "stopped running" and I have to restart the PC.

I'm pretty sure it's DA:I, I never manage to use my full 8GB in any other circumstance.

So check your memory and restart the computer if necessary (providing you play on PC...) and hope Bioware fixes the thing sooner rather than later.
