I destroyed DA:O. 

 

I also mistakingly created a new account when I started this game. There is no option to sign in with a different account once you boot the game up for the first time. A bummer. 

 

So, I created another PSN ID and correctly entered my Origin Account when the game booted up. But I have yet to see if the game is linked with the Keep. On the Keep's website, it says my game has successfully linked to a PS4. 

 

But I haven't run into anyone from Origins. When will I encounter someone or something to indicate this in game?

Talk to varric about hawke and Leliana about her life and the warden. There isn't really much returning characters or too many mentions on the past stories. You don't get into the hawke stuff until later. Sign into the keep, go to world states, and then slide to the right. That should show you if any of your play throughs are using a custom world. You can then copy those to an empty slot and double check that things look right.
