All of them. My top two are Solas and Cassandra though.

Sera, Dorian and Viviene. I like all of them (and advisers too), for example Cassandra evolved perfectly - a very solid character. But those three are the winners.

For different reasons...
Iron Bull (compatible personalities)
Dorian (compatible personalities)
Vivienne (compatible personalities)
Solas (interesting character)
Cassandra (likable personality)
If I had to choose one, I'd go with Bull. Have a soft spot for the [b]romance and his laid-back attitude.
I, too, would have to go with Bull for my favorite. Sera, Vivienne, and Cassandra are fairly close behind though!

Tie between Dorian, Cassandra, and Varric.
Maybe because they were my party for the entire game.

Dorian is #1 so far. All-around well-written and perfectly voice-acted, and his background makes him extremely interesting. Too bad he's gay, really, but then, I wanted fixed orientations and I'll pay the price. After that, Josephine. That voice gets me every single time.
They're all great, though. IMO this is Bioware's best cast of characters in a game. I expected to dislike Cassandra because of incompatible ideologies, but she's so real, and so reasonable and practical about things, that I quite like her in spite of that. I also expected to dislike the Iron Bull because he's the incarnation of "not my type of person", but he grows on you and his directness and bluntness is refreshing. Meanwhile, Blackwall remains a bit bland for now but maybe that will change with his personal quest.

Cassandra. She felt the most human to me, out of all the companions. I'm liking the romance with her so far. ![]()
All the conversations I've had with the Iron Bull have been very entertaining, but I never bring him on missions since Cass is already the main warrior.
I actually liked Varric more in DA2; his relationship with Hawke was really well done. I do like the relationship between Cassandra and Varric, though. That book scene was so great ![]()
When I get back from missions the order in which I talk to companions is as follows:
Cassandra
Varric
Cullen
Iron Bull
I guess that says something. I have no idea why Cullen is there, I just really like his voice actor. ![]()
The ones I don't like talking to are:
Dorian
Sera
I mostly have a problem with how the dialogue choices are laid out for the inquisitor when talking to Dorian. For example, when he talks about slavery in Tevinter ALL the dialogue options lead to your inquistor ranting to him about how bad slavery is. I really hate that. ![]()
I have a feeling Sera was made to be as annoying as possible, right? If so, well done. ![]()

Dorian, Vivienne and Varric, and also Cassandra.
The other ones are great too, but these just really grew on me during my play, probably because they get pretty close to my personality at times and react exactly the way I would react.
Seriously, this is the best cast of a BioWare game so far, everybody is at least really interesting.

Iron Bull, Dorian, Blackwall, Sera and Vivienne are my favorite so far. From the advisers I really like Cullen and Cassandra.

Blackwall. I love this guy's opinion on Grey Wardens and how they should operate, and he is like "bro I can tank for DAYS" in combat.

Favorites companions:
_Dorian: Most charismatic and awesome character Bioware has even written. I am stright and I am still trying to decide wheter I romance Josephine (my normal choice) or Dorian (I have flirted with both so far) just for his personality, I love it. Also we get to know a lot about Tevinter, the most interesting place of the DA lore for me thanks to him. And he is a Necromancer, which equals badass on battle
. I alter between him and Solas when I chose the Mage for my team.
_Solas: The most interesting and intriguing character of the game, very interesting conversations about the Fade, magic, spirits, demons and a pro-mage who supports mage freedom. What else can I ask for? I think Solas is the character I have the most approval with. I alter between him and Dorian when I form groups and I have to choose a Mage.
_Iron Bull: Before the game was out I thought I would dislike this guy. I was wrong. He is the kind of leader who is more of a buddy than a boss, so far I like a lot talking with him, both about his experiences in battle and about the Qun and the way the Quanari society works. Sadly he is afraid of magic, which grants me some dissaproval over some choices, but I am gaining more approval than dissapproval with this guy so I don´t really care about it.
_Cole: I have just get him in Skyhold so still I don´t know much about him. I have had like 2 or 3 conversation with cutscenes with him and so far I like him. He is a spirit/demon/ghost/fade creature/whatever with special abilities who has decided to help people. And he is a killer (literally) on combat thanks to his Assassain specialization so now he is the official Rogue of my team.
_Varric: He is Varric, what else needs to be said?
_Blackwall: As with Iron Bull, I thought Blackwall would be uninteresting and even boring to me. A goody two-shoes grey warden? I already had plenty of that on Dragon Age Origins, but I do like the man. He seems to be the kind of loyal man you can trust in and who would follow you to death if that means saving lifes. He is my official Warrior.
Companions I don´t really care about
_Cassandra: Is not that I dislike her (I don´t), is simply that I don´t really like her neither. She is not an interesting character for me, neither a boring or an unbearable one so she is just there.
Companions I hate:
_Vivienne: A controlling ****** playing political games on her own benefict to gain power and control over other people (mages of the circle loyal to the Chantry) vs a mage Inquisitior completely agreeing with the mage´s rebellion, supporting the freedom of mages and getting them as allies. Of course we are gonna clash. Her character is well written, I simply dislike her for her personality, her views, etc. Basically we don´t get along well, that´s all.
_Sera: I have said why on other threads on this forum, but short story: she is a baby in the body of an young/adult woman, she is more inmature than my 4 years old sister and I just recruited here for trophies and the game´s content, not because I like her. On the possitive side, we can kick her out of the Inquisition (so far she is the only companion who gives us that option). On the negative side, I don´t want to kick her out, I want to kill her and burn her remains and so far I haven´t seen an option to do so

Solas has actually become my favourite character of the entire series, wasn't expecting that... he dethroned Alistair, that's some feat tbh...

I enjoyed everyone, and constantly traded out my party so that I could use them (not something I have ever really done in the past games).
Though I think perhaps that Dorian (my bff) and Solas (holy interesting story, batman!) were two of my top companions.

Blackwall especially because of his romance and his views on fighting n whatnot.
Iron Bull because he has a fun personality unlike the other Quns you meet.
Varric.. he's frickin Varric!

I love all of them, advisors too. My favorite so far is Dorian. I also like Solas more than I was expecting to (Looked too much like Zathrian to me), but that could have something to do with my PC being a Dalish. I feel more of a connection to him than I expected to.

They're all pretty great this time around. Even before release, I was saying that this is probably the first time I've looked at the list of companions and liked them all. There's always one or two characters I didn't like before. This time though, I'm pretty happy with all of them. My favourites would be Cassandra and Sera. Vivienne is a *****, but she's a well written and well executed *****.

Dorian. What's better than a sarcastic tevinter with a pornstache?
I also liked Cassandra, she's maybe a softie but she's also strong and determined. The kind of friend that won't leave you when sh*t turns bad.
I used to like Blackwall. I also have a weak spot for wardens and I thought him my friend, until I knew he wasn't even a warden. How is that no one else noticed that guy didn't have the taint before? He useful and all that, but I don't like warden pretenders. If he had come clean since the beginning I could have understood.
