Do you guys think it is possible to finish the game fighting only with the Inquisitor?

If so, what would be the best class? Rogue maybe (stealth attack-run away - repeat)? And the maximum difficulty? Normal? Boss fights impossible?

Well my Sword and Board Champion is practically invincible, he just stands in front of things and (as long as he faces them) shrugs off most of their damage. So he could probably solo nightmare, it would just take a very, very long time to kill stuff.

Definitely a mage. Knight Enchanter is so op I think you can even solo dragons at your own level. All the damage you do generates barrier, so you never get 1 single hit to your health bar and can go on indefinetly. Maybe at nightmare not so much, but i guess no one should try to solo in nightmare mode :P

I'd say sword and board warrior could potentially do nightmare.
The starting is definitely going to be rough, but once you hit skyhold, grab the Champion tree, and go HAM.

The ability "To the Death" will help make up for your lower DPS, and Walking Fortress will prevent you from taking damage while that skill is up.
I can already solo dragons my level on nightmare with only blackwall, so it should be possible.
It's all just whether you can bludgeon your way pre-skyhold.

I still think warrior has the best chance to pull it off.

Yep, in fact I'm doing it myself and the guard mechanic for the warrior class really helps in tanking damage and becoming a walking immunity towards attacks and it's so easy to rebuild guard too. Abilities like block and slash and roll make it possible to completely own a combat encounter without even taking damage.

I've only played with a party when I needed a rogue and mage to complete a few quests with me (hunting animals as Varric with his crossbow and striking down magical barriers and energizing those beacons in the swamp with Solas) and I felt it made the game easier but perhaps that's because the current build I've got going is quite powerful and it doesn't help the enemies in the game that I've crafted powerful equipment (which is a lot better than all of the "rare" drops I've been finding).

I'm currently doing "find the Grey Wardens quest" and all the enemies there are easy kills, even slayed the giant by myself.

In fact for me, it's more enjoyable going through the game solo. I'm playing on normal difficulty BTW.

Hmm so Knight Enchanter is as OP as Arcane warrior is? Interesting...

Yup. It makes soloing Dragons entirely possible. Granted, Champion Vanguard S&B warriors are practically unkillable too, even more so if you get a masterwork that gains guard on hit.

Also if you make your own weapons and armor and costumize it to have %heal per kill, you can possibly solo with other specs. At the moment i have a staff and armor that I crafted and everytime I kill 1 enemy I get back 30% of my health, dont even use potions during fights.
