you are already swinging your blade, it just hits both flesh and arrows.
I missed that point, if that's the case I can see its value.

fade step is better than CL for a spirit blade AW, CL is less than redundant when spirit blade hits harder anyway. If you're aoeing with spirit blade, using cl is basically gimping yourself, unless you're having massive issues generating barrier, if not... fade step is probably better.
I would only using CL if you intend to make a ranged arcane warrior, if not... fade step/ fade cloak / spirit blade / abyss.
All in all, its a little tough to get AW wrong.
I usually CL, SB, FC, FS and can solo perilous if I can stay awake.
Oh yeah, the old "I can solo Perilous with it so it's OP" argument. Maybe it's time to wake up to reality...
While solos are the worst case scenario for the other 11 classes, it's the best scenario for the Arcane Warrior.
The Arcane Warrior benefits from having all the aggro, everything tightly packed and in range, an AI easy to predict and take advantage of. And guess what, it's the perfect definition of what a solo will give you!
Introduce 3 other teammates, divide the aggro, have enemies spread out and shooting from out of range, AI reacting more randomly because there are other teammates and suddenly an Arcane Warrior isn't so invincible.
But AW is really the epitome of OP, because he can solo... ![]()
I don't think that the AW is OP for the reasons you said. The thrust (or at least the intention) of my post is that the AW is equally strong (and equally boring) no matter which skills you decide to take.
That said, Rascal posted a "combo king" build that looked fun and effective.
Who's this Rascal character, and why does the SB-less combo king build pwn so much more than SB builds?
all aw needs is spirit blade. anything else is a topping.
edit: and fade shield.
Hahaha Drasca I mean. Damon android autocorrect....
Domon Kasshu .. erupting... burning... finger!~!!

Holy thread necromancy, Batman!
Also #yetanotherAWthread #biovarpls .
I'll be trying out the build in the OP now that I unlocked Arcane Warrior.

Considering the weekly balance changes since thread creation, you shouldn't be using Spirit Blade unless you're playing Demons on Nightmare.

Yikes, I already invested in Spirit Blade too. Is there anyway to repec?

Yep, craft an AW respec item, from the crafting menu.

Spirit Blade is unlocked at level 1, so you can only "invest" 1 point into the upgrade. Yes, you can respec. You will find the item necessary in the "Weapon Crafting" area.
Aside, when looking at any builds, make sure to note the date it was posted. Penguin, who is sadly no longer here, posted this shortly after the game released. A lot has changed since then.
