I started this quest early on in the game but I moved past it. I didn't realise what the result of the quest would be at the time. I'm not pretty far into the game but I'm unable to complete this quest, it no longer shows on my journal. Any help?

Have you checked every quest  area tab, and still not there? Have you checked the completed quests tab?
