I was just wondering if there is an easy way to tell what level an area is...ive unlocked a few areas with what I assume are side missions (such as the Fallow Mire and Storm Coast) but I don't have any idea what level they are...unlike the main story area unlocks, which give you the level.
I want to explore a bit but don't want to run before I walk
The areas seem to be de-levelled, so you could be fighting in one space against level 4s and then turn a corner and run into a rift with level 12 demons.
Easiest for me is to go into tact cam when you start a battle and look at the nearest enemies specs. You'll see a shield with a number which is their level.
If they're way above you, disengage and run for your life.
