I've been playing this game for over 45 hours and my Qunari Inquisitor still has Superior Vanguard armor on, because everything that looks really sweet, only a human trained warrior can wear. Not to mention, some of the armor doesn't even show up on my Inquisitor at all!

I mean really, what about the elves too? Because the last thing I want to play is what I play in real life, every single day.

Even walking around Skyhold, I see another Qunari with nicer armor up on the ramparts with his allies. So we know it can be done.

It's unfortunate to think this armor bug hasn't been fixed either.

I too am a little disappointed in the lack of qunari armor choices. It's either the bug or very limited choices. Was hoping for the tattoes, and even the helmets we saw in DA2. Not disappointed enough to post three times in my same thread instead of using the edit button, but still disappointed. The game itself for me has been great so far though. Good storyline and solid gameplay! Hopefully you guys add some more flare to the game.

It was more because of the lack of commentary in this thread and with the forum moving so quickly, things like this can be overlooked.

That said, even the Orlesian heavy armor schematics are supposedly wearable by the Qunari, however, it doesn't even show up.

Yeah, I am 50 hours in and I'm wearing an upgraded version of an armor set I found at the beginning of the game... It see,s like Qunari were really shafted by all the race restrictions... I haven't come across a SINGLE piece of Qunari-only armor. I'm not doubting that there are some (there better be!) but I should have seen at least a couple by now.

At the moment there is a glitch that stops equiped armour on the qunari from showing up hopefully they fix that until till then I've got my elf but that human restrictions thing is really annoying.

I don't understand why all those restrictions are necessary. They add absolutely nothing to the player's experience; in fact, their only role seems to be to deprive players of some really nice options.

The only Qunari-only equipment is "helmets." There is some other racially restricted stuff: dwarven med armor, elven light armor and human heavy armor. That's all I've encountered so far and it's not really the limiting...

What do u mean only helmet?
But my character then only can wear his pajamas and a war paint? Not arguing just curious. I found no armour or pants or any set besides that.

Yeah all ive seen are the qunari only helmets (which are only 4 so far at lv 1,6,12 and 20) and a 2h blue quality axe. Quiet disappointed at how little the qunari have gotten in terms of armor/weapons. Also are the Defending and Vanguard armors teir 1s suppose to be the only visual armor which is just mail with a coat over it that qunaris get? Im at lv 20 and my armor still looks the same as the armor i got from hinterlands. Im hopeing that it is a bug and that most armors have different visuals cause its kinda eye soring. And also why was the inquisitor helmet race specific that makes no sense.

And yet, all the really nice looking heavy warrior armor, is restricted to humans. That's a problem. I haven' even seen Elven armor, outside of NPCs.

As for the helmets, I would have been a lot happier if it gave body tattoos as well, similar to what it did for our dog companions in the previous DA games.

I'm playing a Qunari mage and was looking forward to finding some awesome robes and stuff. By now, I am level 10 and I just found both the orlaisian and the warden battle mage armor in the Fallow Mire and they are restricted to humans and elves. Haven't found any Qunari-only wearables so far. Very disappointing...

Heroes of Dragon Age (it's the IOS game). Just look at the armors they give their qunari (Sten the Arishok comes to mind, sorry for not posting images, I'm on my ipad and I dunno how)

Well, at least here it should be seen, ingame the last version comes with a horned helemet, and he dual wields two greatswords, because when you're Arishok you get to break the rules and be more badass than any PC warrior.

TBH, I was expecting armor variety in form, not just in colors from materials, that said I've only completed hinterlands and crestwood, haven't advanced much since getting Skyhold, so I may be wrong. Still, I've already created a human warrior, I've been wanting to use the warden armor from DAO trailers since, well, DAO. (and the Legacy one just didn't look right to me, the plate was too bulky and I personally hate the wings on the helmet.)

You mean they wearing Qunari themed armor? I haven't seen any Qunari in my Skyhold yet...can you take a screenshot if they are indeed wearing some unique armor?

The restrictions exist because they couldn't spare the resources to create an armour model for the qunari.

Probably that's is the reason, but still...all models which are look the same on each race can be reshaped a bit to fit Qunari...for example, using 3ds max FFD modifier it will take 10-40min. to reshape it...it's not that hard.

That's what I don't understand. Aren't the armours just resized a bit to fit the different races? It's not brand new models and textures each time. All the races have the same or very similar skeletons - just different proportions and sizes. It's not as though one has legs that bend the other way, conspicuous dorsal crests, or three-fingered hands. If 8 hours of work for one or two people could have given qunari the same options as every other race, shouldn't that have been done? It seems like a fairly worthwhile time investment, considering the expected added utility to the player.

One of the big features that was talked about pre-release was armour customization. If qunari are locked out of most of the unique looking armour sets and don't have anything to compensate, that is abysmal game design. There should not be a discrepancy between the amount or quality of content availablle to the different races. We should never be in a position where one is categorically worse due to having access to fewer features than the rest. So hopefully the lack of variety is a bug. Hopefully the lack of multiple unique pieces of qunari wear is a bug.

There's a warrior, rogue and mage just outside where you find Cullen. One of them is a Qunari and it looks like he's wearing a barbarian type gear.
