Every Crafted armor that isn't human only all looks the same on every race. The only difference between any of the sets are warriors get a horn on the belt, rogues get a lockpick set and mages get a book. That is it. You make a warrior or a mage land the battle mage or battle forge armor both looks exactly the same.

But I agree with the lack there of for the Qunari. That race got shafted hard core. Makes me want to puke with how badly the Qunari got disrespected for a new race implementation.

They were a late game addition. And even with all the issues customisation wise I'm glad they're in because it gives me a non human PC option.

Man that sucks that qunari armour is so limited. I'm hoping that Bioware sees this & releases dlc with different armours or armour schematics to use to buy.

I can't believe BioWare hasn't said anything to this thread. Really makes me sad....

Finished the game as a Qunari, and basically my last best set of armor was the vanguard coat with a the waist tie BUT it had a big inquisition symbol in the middle made out of plate... definitely doesn't get nearly as diverse or even close to as diverse as all the human armors.

There is elf exclusive armor. You can get schematics for light, medium, and heavy for them. I do wish more of the armor we see in game could be used by the player. I would love some of those Venatori mage hoods.

The ultimate kick in the ass is that the only way to get a purple qunari face paint  (that I've found) is by finishing a long quest chain. Might ruin it if people were expecting something better out of it so I put it in spoilers.

Spoiler

When I found out that bioware was adding qunari as a character choice..  I was expecting "Dragon age 2" Sten like Armor for warriors and Saarebas like armor for mages...

Was I disappointed...

As was I. That player card at the character select screen is an obviouse bait & switch. Where's are straps & long hair Bioware?

The Qunari soldier at Skyhold looks badass. I think I have a screenshot, I'll dig through them later and see if I can find it.

Here you go. I look like I should be carrying his bags or something.

The ranger looking dude stood next to him looks great too. These guys are usually hanging out directly above the portcullis, but sometimes it's a different group stood there.

I'd settle for any armor that was 'badass'.

Tired of trench coats. Feels like a highschool manga club in this game.

Not just the armor but they also need to add different hair styles as well. The whole character creation could have been better. I don't want my females to look like males in there armor. Show a little skin, make the female look like females in armor not like males.

I agree about the Qunari armor. On DA2 they had some awesome armor for the Qunari for both the worrier and mage.

Well, say whatever you want, but whole game is short with armors. Basically all modified armors are the same for each class and race - Only difference is accessory belt (war horn, lock picks, mage book) and some boots and gloves. The unique armors, are mostly restricted to your race, whats more, most of them have shitty stats. So, the best armors are the one you craft and you will look basically the same, whoever you play.

the armor set looks like a mod I downloaded for my character to wear on another RPG :)....

I'd like my qunari character to wear something like that...

Some of my Qunari's armors are apparently just PJs. How is this not fixed yet? How is this even in the game like that, did they not test this?

To Bioware NPCs are so much more important than the player. So long as the npcs are stylish, who cares about the player character. Lets give him the generic crap.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It could be argued that they didn't want to shoehorn players into one particular 'theme' or style and so they tried to make more universal looks, but that doesn't really count for much when they look as bland as they do now (and Qunari can't even use half of them). We're the Inquisitor, we're supposed to stand out from the crowd. If I was on the team I would have made sure that each race has race specific variations of each armour style i.e. human noble battlemaster armour looks regal, fur trimmed and inlaid with gold whilst the Qunari battlemaster armour would have large pauldrons, straps, trophies, maybe even war paint on higher tier armours. The same goes for the elves and the dwarves. The game is in dire need of an overhaul, it's not fun when you're not allowed to look like a boss until 3 hours after the main story.

My problem with not shoehorning looks is that we can do all that for our keep, but we can't do that for our character? Very disappointing.

Much more concerned with them fixing bugs/Hitboxes/crashes/character broken skills then cosmetics.

Nothing like spamming Twin Fangs or Pommel strike point blank only to have it miss 50 times before it finally lands.

The fact that Rampage still bugs up in multiplayer is an even bigger joke then the AI in Single player.

Well whole armors not displaying I'd call pretty significant.

I agree that Qunari armor is in fact quite limited in comparison to the alternate races. It's so nonsencial to circumsribe armor to certain race classes and Qunari exclusivity be limited to "face paint". Really? lol. Having said that, my anger is somewhat assuaged by the silverite that can be used to remove restriction in armor crafting.
