The Qunari armor designs from Dragon Age 2 were fantastic, it is sad that we get NOTHING like that in DA:I. My qunari warrior looks dopey as hell.

Yeah, but I think I'd rather eat my own boxers than play multiplayer.

I'm still a little disappointed that the face tattoo stuff didnt go on the body as well. When I sat tats on Iron Bull, I got excited, thinking we could do the same for the player character.

Even walking around Skyhold, I see another Qunari with nicer armor up on the ramparts with his allies. So we know it can be done.
I thought the EXACT same thing walking around Skyhold's ramparts. Not only are there Qunari wearing some great-looking armor, but the are Elves, humans, and even dwarves, all wearing great-looking diverse armor types. The Qunari's animal-skin-and-skulls barbarian armor, the elves' ancient temple get-up, and the humans' dashing-adventurer style armor. All looked fantastic.
Don;t get me wrong, I love that signature "Inquisitor" armor style. But that ends up being about all you get to wear the whole game, apart from a handful of other armors, all of which are race-locked, and the number of which I could count on one hand ![]()

YESSS to this! I want that armor for my saarabas mage inquisitor!

why does Katari get the armor? MyAdaar wants to look BA too!

Honestly? I'm not even crazy about that armor, but at the very least it's something different. I mean seriously, all these races can get class/race armor, like I just found a Legion of the Dead schematic, but there's nothing for my Qunari aside from Vitaars that I toggle off anyway? C'mon!

Basically what we can deduct, given how each companion has a favourite style, is that the Inquisitor has abysmal fashion sense. I guess it's like Shepard's dancing... ![]()
More seriously, really noticed the lack of choice for qunari especially. My main quest in the game has shifted from the story one to finding ANY new armour look that is good so I can change the visual I've used for the last 80h of the game. It's still a tier 2 look - I've found a few tier 3 armours but those i found so far has used earlier looks, sometimes combined but with elements I just find out of place. Basically, I'm wearing the one that looks least out of place to me. I'm playing a mage, but I've started exploring other armour classes.
I think the crafting system is pretty nice for what it is, functionalitywise, but the options in each of the 3 standard choices is far too similiar for qunari to have any sort of choice so far; if there were more diversity there it wouldn't be such an issue there is no qunari-only armour. Now you just really notice it.

Or just go blame Bioware to have made them exclusive for MP and will continue to release special (free) conttent for it.

Hell, I'd be happy to see the armor some of the enemies wear made available for us. White Claw raider clothes, Ferelden bandit armor, or even Venatori robes all looked fantastic, and they clearly already have the models ready to roll.

Give us some dragon age 2 quinari armor... body paint and pads, simple. And the double horn style for character creation, I'm not as crazy about the single horn one. Basically, I want to make a younger, scary as hell Arishok look.

My understanding is that we were told whatever armor we see, we can wear. So the fact that my Qunari wasn't able to wear much? Very disappointing.

This is pathethic.
They know that qunari have specific culture, bulky bodies, savage/brutal look and feel.
Yet our "scary" butler qunari Inqusitor wears pijama or some 1700s coats and victorian styles armors that make him look just stupid. I;d laught at such Qunari warrior.
At the same time MP get Katari models (so model/textures are ready!!), Iron Bull get awesome Skull Pauldrons, some chains, spikes and primitive metal parts with tattoos all over body (again! Textures and models are ready!!) and NPC quanri are running with fur/barbaric armros (once more...textures and models are ready)..
This is just pathethic. AAA RPG from most experienced RPG studio currently, with a lot of years of making games and they cannot give diversity for each race??
They hire at least 100-250 people. Game was in 4 year development... And yet they couldn't afford 3 crafting different models for each class and 9 total different models for each race?!! Even tought they had models ready from DA2/Concept arts?
That is just sad. I work in game industry but something like taht is just beyond laughtable...
I refuse playing qunari until I will look at least as cool as Iron Bull and I refuse my quari to wear pijama!!!! I AM FKING QUNARI!! NOT BUTLER OR SPOILED HUMAN NOBLE..I wear pants, tattoos and belts in my Castle! Let them look on my chest...
Dissappointed as fk...
Wonder who will be faster- BioWare or modders....

Don't forget, Katari only has one possible gender, while the Inquisitor has two. Maybe they could throw his outfits directly onto the male qunari Inquisitor build, but they'd have to redesign them all for the female as well. Iron Bull is also a completely different build from the Inquisitor of either gender.
The qunari were only made playable late in development, so it's possible that's why we got shafted on unique items, too. They weren't working on playable qunari for the entire 4-year development.
I would really love to see more options for the qunari, though. It got boring switching between the same two armor styles for the entire game.

That sir is perferct summary for their whole artist/design team (I hope they will read this)
"IT"S ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT"
I wouldn't be mad if that was an Indie game, crowd-funded or from small Studio. However this is BioWare and this is unacceptable bullshit.

I've got my quiz wearing the dragon heavy armor from the DLC deluxe pack, which I bought in the hopes that I could get her something effective that looks cool. My mistake. The dragon armor looks like a leather dress from JC Penny's Gene Simmons' collection. It looks so ridiculous in cut scenes that I'd rather her run around in the forever lazy pajama set we're forced to wear in Skyhold.
But it's nice to know that the random multiplayer Qunari dude who hangs out on Skyhold's battlements has more exclusive gear than the maker's chosen. I guess the maker's a fan of MP mode, too? That must be what he's been up to all this years.
