I've been trying to get all of the herbs in the game so that i can plant them in skyhold.  I have all of the seeds except the third common one.  Alphabetically i figured it was crystal grace or deathroot, but deathroot can't be planted and crystal grace is a rare herb, so if someone could tell me what the herb's name is and in what area i would find it at.  I have been everywhere in the game possible up to the wicked hearts quest, so if it's just later in the story that i get a new area or something then tell me that too.

I harvested crystal grace a dozen times, but it just doesn't give me seeds, I did guess it was rare, but I do think it's the one missing, can't think of anything else tbh.

ok what i'd like to know is how long seeds take to grow? thought I read on a post somewhere here that said something about making one quick travel out and back from Skyhold if you have upgraded the garden to allow for more seed pots, but for me it seems to take 3-4 quick travels which amounts to hours of play time. I also checked my seed list and do not have the name of the seed you are looking for either.

 

edit: is 6 planting pots the max we get to grow seeds in Skyhold? just making sure I don't have some sort of glitch I was unaware of after upgrading my garden

No, definitely 2 quicktravels, just make sure you quicktravel out of Skyhold (well technically it's 4 QTs, out of Skyhold, in, out, in). And yea, 6 is the max.

I have been having trouble getting Deathroot and Crystal Grace seeds. I've hopped between the Wolf Hollow/Cave NE of the farms and to the Western Approach like ten times already with no luck. I really hope it's not a bug.

I couldn't get this seed either and I did a completionist profile (except for the parts that were impossible because of bugs). The only thing left I can think of is buying the three packs of herbs with perks at the war table. If that doesn't do it, it's probably bugged.

Noticed something just recently concerning how long it takes to plant and harvest from the garden. I planted Rashvine Nettle in my pots. It took two travels (i.e, out and back) from Skyhold for these to fully mature so I could harvest them. After this I did not swap them for different plants. It then took one travel (out and back) for them to be ready to harvest again.

 

I then decided to swap these six for Prophet's Laurel. It once again took two travels from Skyhold for these new seeds to be ready for harvest and then only one more travel once I left the same plant to get another harvest.

 

In conclusion: New seeds take two travels before they can be harvested and only one travel if you leave the same seeds to grow again

This was not true for me.  I received the Deep Mushroom spores from the 2nd tier perk.

Still no info on the 3rd Common herb? I've stumbled upon this problem myself today. It's the only seed I'm missing.

Deep Mushrooms would be third if Deathroot doesn't have seeds.

I'm missing this, too. No idea what it could be. I've harvested Crystal Grace tons of times throughout the Hinterlands and not gotten that, but alphabetically, it's the only one that makes sense. It has to be either Deathroot or Crystal Grace.

That is the correct conclusion and yes time doesnt matter you just need fast travel for it can return imedatly to pick em up.

I'm missing these seeds too, on two separate playthroughs over 100 hours each. (third common, between Blood Lotus and Deep Mushroom)

It has to be deathroot but deathroot is bugged bc its too big for the pot and wont give seeds. From my understanding there is no patch in the works to fix this. Someone tell me if Im wrong.

Yep, same here. I did the quest over three play throughs and that seed always eludes me. It has to be crystal grace or death root, but they never give seeds.

^ Same. I've done three playthroughs, one Nightmare, and I've never gotten seeds from Deathroot. Since Crystal Grace is noted as rare, I don't think it's that one.

I've tried to get Crystal Grace seeds, but that's just been driving me nuts; wondered if something was bugged in my first playthrough, but I see that others are having this issue. Meh.

Nope. Dawn Lotus is a rare seed that's found pretty easily in Fallow Mire, and I have that while still missing the third common seed between Blood Lotus and Deep Mushroom.

Damn. So many quests are bugged, and the Collections ones especially are frustrating. Nothing annoys me more in a game than seeing 18/19 and 11/12 scores amongst perfect and completed ones.
