I am new to the Dragon Age games and am missing the simplest piece of information. I'm playing both Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II, but don't know how to select and command my characters abilities which appear on the bottom of the screen during combat. For example, I know the Mage has a healing spell, but I can't figure out how to implement it on a Mac. I know it is a combination of right and left clicks, but am unsuccessful it getting it to work. I'm ashamed to admit this, but have played 44 hours of Dragon Age II without knowing how to use the mages gifts because I can't figure this simple step out. Many have steeered me towards Wiki Dragon Age combat guides, etc., which tell me the importance of using the skills, traits, etc., that appear on the bottom of the screen. Here's an example, right out of the Wiki pages for Dragon Age: "Combat can be paused by pressing the space bar at any time, or by enabling the game's auto-pause function in the "Gameplay" menu. While paused the player can select any of the party members and then issue commands to them." It just doesn't tell me HOW to do it. Please advise.
