Final fight way too easy?

It kind of reminds me of the fight with Kreia in KotOR2; short and ultimately unsatisfying. I honestly believe now that by the time all the DLC comes out we will see the Corypheus fight as just another smaller mission rather than a finale.

^See this right here, BIG factor into why you spanked your lvl. 19 enemy

Not saying the fight itself is hard but at that point only the Highland Ravager can maybe last 5 minutes against you

In any case, aa far as boss fights go. It wasn't the best but I'd take the Archdemon off that good fights list, it really wasn't. :\

Just finished all three Dragon Age games back to back with all DLCs. I did the final battle right after the Deep Roads. The final battle with Corypheus was short, easy, lacked any kind of real story or even closure for that matter. I loved this entire series and played it exclusively for the past four months. The Dwarves in the Deep Roads were harder than this guy. That's not right.

This ending was, for sure, the most anti-climatic thing ever. I'm sorry BioWare, I love these games but the ending just wasn't good.

BioWare for some reason has lacked imagination with their final boss battles quite a few times.  Far too many times you fight the boss for a bit , he/she goes RAWR! And leaves for a bit while you have to fight a hoard of minions, then he comes back, rinse and repeat.  Or you have to fight the boss, break some thing that is giving him shields/barriers etc.

They need to take a lesson from BG2, many of their semi boss or boss battles they had solid groups of enemies, one leader but not faceless minions but lieutenants of a type with their own classes and such.  Made for challenging and interesting boss battles.

I found gear and class played a major roll in difficulty for me.  My 1st game I was a mage but did not have really good gear via crating and had a hell of a time even with the dragons.  2nd game I was an archer with better crafted gear and I kicked rump.

I think Corypheus could stand to summon more demons. The Archdemon fight had you fighting dozens of darkspawn and Meredith brought in the statues.

I can respect why they don't want to make the final boss TOO hard. It would be pretty awful to get that far and be unable to progress. Still, Envy and Nightmare were quite a bit tougher.

I find Envy lighter but still it's been a while since I beat a vanilla Cory. Wouldn't mind more demons coming to Corys side =).

And regarding the descent being tougher up there, of course the DLC bosses are harder than the base game bosses. It is the way of the world.

My only complaint with the Cory fight was that he basically hovers in place and just occasionally teleports, or whatever they call it. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenes around it and his banter type dialogue aimed at who your Inquisitor is and whichever companions you bring along. The fight itself was just kind of space filler for the most part.

Level scaled, not much difference. You may or may not have improved basic stats the way it's designed. The Archdemon fight is one of my favorite all time boss battles, on the other hand. I always had to tweak my tactics, then you fight like, what? 70 darkspawn, seems like? Calling in your own troops? Using the ballistas and having to repair and constantly get regrouped and things? Awesome. I frequently would end up with my group pairing off and fighting on opposite sides of the map just because there was so much going on. It's the best combat scenario in the whole series.

Just to clear, Corypheus used that red lyrium beam attack on you guys, right?

With good equipment, that bean is nothing, so it knocks off someone's barrier or guard *shrug* nothing to worry about, just don't get nailed a second time.

it is an easy fight for a boss. Not like the ones I love where the boss actually does have a single ability that can one hit you, if you don't avoid the warning marks for that ability being about to fire on you. A fight that keeps you moving and, watching for mid battle spawns that can do some serious damage.

No if Cory had summoned more demons, or that lyrium beam could actually one hit you, even in the best armor and, with full barrier or guard, that would have been a fight.

Cory was a big disappointment. All talk and nothing else is what he amounted to. I had a harder time against some dragons compared to Cory.
