In addition to the title, how come so many styles are buzz cuts, like almost half of them.

1.  Women do  not usually sport buzz cuts of any kind.

2.  The game has in medieval/fantasy setting.  Most such settinga would have access to scissors, knives, straight razors and other ways to cut your hair or shave it bald.  What they do not have is electric razors.  Do you know how hard it is to get a buzz cut with a pattern in the side if you all have at your disposal is a pair of scissors and a straight razor?  It is pretty much impossible, you need an electric razor to do that.

I know I am nitpicking, I am just saying that if you have a game set in a fantasy setting, let's have them look like they belong there.  They should not look like marines, how would Aragorn have have looked in Lord of the Rings if he had a buzz cut.  The critics would have a hay day I'm sure.

Most importantly is that I would love to have some nice long hair for my elf that does not hide those pretty ears of hers,

Yep. 100% agreed. There have been numerous threads on this already if you look past page 1, but I think it's warranted. I doubt BW will do something about this for DA:I, but I do hope that they will learn something from it and actually get someone to look at their hair meshes and textures for their next games (ME/DA:4)...

As far as continuing to add things to their games through patches and hotfixes post release, EA has proved they could do it.  They already added ghosts and swimming pools to Sims 4 with free patches through the Origin client.

I think it would take little effort to add such things in to the game, the major problem is how to deliver it to the consoles.  But the amount of effort needed to make new hairstlyes is fairly small, and sending it through the Origin client is very easy.  So for PCs anyways it might not be a problem.

The main question is will they continue to add things to games like this like they do Sims 4, I think they should.  Not that this game is Sims 4, but being able to change hairstyles at least should be simple with an object in Skyhold or Haven.  They already dis that with DA2, but of course that was a different engine.

It'd be really nice for qunari females to at least have some long hair choices. I don't mind them having buzz cuts, really you could do the patterns with a sharp blade and a steady hand, but I'm sure they have another type of razor they use. They aren't barbarians.

Yeah, I'm definitely all for shorter cuts (default FemHawke FTW) and a proper variety, but the balance of grade 1's to long hair on the female character is just ridiculous; there's 10 or so grade 1's, and maybe two proper nape and shoulder length variations? That seems--- very odd, to say the least.

A other way to see the game was rushed.. tatoo's not having a fade slider ?.. euh..

hair options very limeted and alot of very low quality hair types that should be on pair with the few " finished"  hair styles...

to bad..no modding, so unless EA is bringing out a Hair DLC for you to buy at 9,99  we will be stuck using the few options we have

There are many hair cuts that would not clip that would be beautiful. Even if there was clipping i wouldn't think it a big problem because there is already clipping .

The tattoos, at least the dalish, fade when you change tattoos. The you just scroll through the tattoos, and it will show you the style, then the next options are different fade levels, then another new option, fades levels etc.

Is it just me or are the male and female hair options one and the same? I'm used to seeing different options for male and females.

I would love to see more of the type of thing Josie sports.

From a modelling/clipping stand point it is short, which I agree with the devs is important, but its falls into the short but illusion of length category too. More up dos with buns, plats and twists please.

And yes I'm shallow, I would pay for a hair DLC.

Why not a highter ponytail, or a Morrigan look. Heck, I'd even like to have the old wind braid hairstyles back compared to some of the horror show looks we got.  The hair is terrible.

SWTOR has some nice ponytails I use a lot, it also has some nice shoulder length hair thatis tucked behind the ears.  Great for an elf, that way they can have long hair and show off those nice ears too.
