Cunning gives only 0.5 critical chance i think

i never invested in cunning with my rouge assassin, only DEX cause when ur assassin u can take passive skill that makes ur stealth attacks instant crit, so DEX & crit damage only, well DEX itself gives crit damage bonus to, that way assassin becomes true assassin

 

with 2h warrior i would go mostly with STR, as much as STR as possible, cause i feel like warriors attack & damage is not enough good

 

with mage i would go for magic

 

& if in other slot i cant add magic i would put in some resistance, fire & ice cause this are most used, maybe same with warrior, after STR

 

if i would make Shield Warrior, i would not be Tank, cause in games i like to fight, not just take damage for others

It seems that Constitution Points is not raising HP in mutiplayer, can someone confirm it for me and please report to bioware if it is bug?

Other question, there's a max cap for base atributes? because if i gain 0,5% CC from 1 Cunning point, if i got 200 Cunning ill have 100% CC?

 

Can someone answer this please???

out of stealth you will be very weak. Stealth will reset after you kill someone when you are visible. if you kill an enemy from stealth,the ability won't reset and you have to kill enemies with you bad auto attacks or wait the CD far from the battle.

as rogue u have other skill to make up for that, i have seen bad ass rogues, specially Dual Dagger Rogue, i forgot the skill name, but when u upgrade it, it gives u stealth after using it & with that time Stealth skill has cooled-down, so rogue does not need anything else just DEX, when u are Assassin as i said, & smart don't attack enemy out of stealth, rogue is weak out of stealth  no matter how u play, u wont be much help to ur companions, that also why i used assassin Specialization to, it makes stealth kills stronger, with my lvl 15 rogue i already feel the effects, getting stronger & stronger & i don't have that much DEX yet (but i have been only looking stuff with more DEX), i W8 when i get to craft Inquisitors gear, what u have probably seen in trailers, then i add as much as DEX as possible, my rogue Archer was same & i made final boss move to the next stage of fight fast & i so Dagger rouge video, with him i can make it even faster, i learned how to play rogue with short time, Assassin DEX & Stealth is the best like mage Knight-Enchanter, i'm 99% of the time in stealth, its bit harder with archer, half to W8 a bit, but even with archer i have a skill that makes it a bit faster, rouge is not warrior so its expected that rouge is weak with out stealth, no matter what Stats u get with crafting

 

out of stealth sometimes i use death blow as flank attack (by flank i mean behind enemy's back), when enemy has lost almost half of its HP it does nice damage & knocks down the target

i had 99% same idea with build before i watched it, after watching it i was WOW i didn't know Rogue can be so brutal killer with just DEX

I have Blackwall specced to go tank, with the entire champion tree except Line in the Sand, and the most of the Vanguard tree. However I have noticed that his guard does not stay up very long. It's very weak; 3 or 4 hits from enemies at my level (Ex: Red Templars, Wyverns) will take my Guard out completely. Now I know that I can get Fade-touched Silverite for Guard on hit, but I feel that Guard on hit is too OP.

 

Guard is calculated by 25% max health, right? So should I take out some stats from Attack% or Crit Chance, and add it to Constitution to help increase my Guard? 

 

Are there any stats or skills I can take to increase the total amount of Guard besides Constitution? 

 

I would have taken [Untouchable Defense] from the Vanguard Tree, but I know that it's bugged. :(

there are as much as kills u can see, at least 1 i remember under vanguard that gives guard bonus, & there is a belt for it to, & he has Champion Specialization & that is for Tanks, it gives more defense stuff, guard included

So assassin should focus on just dex and crit damage basically?

But as an artificerr (my next run) cunning/crit damage would be the way to.go I assume..

And also 10% rings from dragons.. the best 2 would be crit damage and 10% attack?

Assassin utility slots you socket for dexterity, and in leather offence slot you go for crit chance. This will enable you to get the best set up.

yes, i added awry where i could DEX & Crit damage bonus & Crit damage was sweet (bow is only item with Crit chance), well that is with Dagger Rouge, maybe Archer need a bit Crit Chance to, cause with Archer u are a bit less time in Stealth, for example, bow with crit chance, u can also make some pieces crit chance & some with crit damage, i know i have 2 rings with crit damage 20, well u can save & load & test, make gear & if u don't like it load & do it again

 

here i have some item locations to, what rouge need the most, example the rings, most know that, but some may not, u can unlock this areas when u get to skyhold, from war map, by using power, even if mobs are to strong u can get the armor set Schematic's (just sprint with ur horse, well if u get to close for archers its useless), but to craft it, first u need to kill at least 5 dragons, cause with dragon bone u get max armor rating, so in lvl 15 or 16 u should be able to craft it, & first dragons are easy, cause of a glitch, use mage the right mage (to know the right mage look at dragons weakness in tactic mode) & attack from ferry far & he wont attack u, he starts to attack from certain range

You can dps tank. Im a sword and shield reaver and im the party tank. I focused on crit chance and depend on the aoe fear on crit passive reaver has for tanking cc. Less blocking, more badassery.

then i guess i'm that with my 2H Warrior to, i took Vanguard & disabled Taunt skills in case i need to control other char for a moment (don't want attention with my 2H), 2H Vanguard Templar, fur Shield warrior i guess champion is better? BlackWall & Cass were both in My party, guess who lasted longer, Champion BlackWall, but i wonder is it good for DPS Shield warrior?, or was it cause cass stole with taunt hes target at Dragon fight? i did not take my last 2H skill, well i took & rested skills later, cause that flame rift skill, the final 2H skill is quite weak, whirlwind is nice, i can spin as long as i have stamina , i think its the second best from 2H, good to use if all are attacking ur Tank

 

i did not take the skill what transfer's  ally damage to me cause i'm 2h, but i guess i skip it even with my shield warrior when i make it in future, its just it sounds as a bad idea :D, its better to last longer for ur ally's then die fast taking their damage, that's what i think

Berserk enchant, she probably has a item with that particular enchant. GET RID OF IT. NEVER USE BERSERK!! 

 

EDit: its the enchant with this do 10-30% more damage and take 100-300% more damage.

ur right i just found out she has ferry bad shield, purple color & it does not say it gives anything negative, but its written different way, so people mite not get what it means, but i recommend to people, awry time u change gear for urself or companion, look at ur stats, i crafted to my self & then to cass, gear, only not weapon, i new think @Currymanswag  issue with BlackWall mite be same, item that gives negative stuff, i think there is more then one

Okay. Right now I was doing:

 

Mages: Magic first, then willpower.

Tank: Const first, then Str.

Rogue: Cunning first, then dex.

 

Mostly only 2 stats per characters. I'm gonna read the whole thing I guess, it's just really hard to understand from time to time.

 

Rogue is backwards...half of cunning is wasted on ranged defense.  Dexterity is far, far better, but you need to get crit from Leather Offense or accessories.

I've run some tests on Barrier, and it appears to confirm my suspicion that Barrier is affected by magic/melee defense stats.  So stacking those stats might be a very good idea for tanks, if you have a Barrier-caster in your party.

 

Also:

 

 

Heal X% Damage Over 10 Seconds

  • Heals the prescribed % of the most recent health damage taken over 10 seconds.
  • The heal triggers only on health damage, not damage to Barriers or Guard.

 

This is demonstrably wrong; see here.  Heals from 20% health to full health from taking only barrier damage, no health damage.

Not clear from that video, is there a bunch of +% Heal stacked there?

 

Is it possible that the effect is double dipping? I.e. damage goes through barrier into HP and then it calculates off total damage rather than just HP damage?

 

Because from what I remember, if you have HP damage (go jump off a cliff) and take damage ONLY to barrier, the effect doesn't kick in. Which is what GhoXen probably tested.

Yeah, it's a bit unclear from the video because it all happens in the same fight.  But I have also tested by starting a fight at low health and taking zero health damage throughout the fight (all damage to barrier), and that heals me to full.  I can post a video of that, if people are interested.

 

To answer your other question, the video was with a single +20% heal masterwork on the staff (FT Paragon's Luster), no other gear equipped.

 

It could be that the healing doesn't trigger on falling damage, which is kind of what I would assume anyway.

that depends on specialization with me, Assassin Sucks if u stack Cun to, Assassin needs only DEX, cause assassins passive makes stealth attacks instant crit, with melee rouge its even easier, with melee rouge i spend more time in stealth that archer can, so if u ever make assassin stack to Dex as much as possible, so u have only the cun that skills & lvl-up has given u, well if u find a helm with dex & cun, that's okay cause good helm are hard to find

i think archer should be balanced, like 50Dex & 30, 35 or 40 Cun, this is just a example, cause what good is cun if ur attack is low? what if ur crit misses the target?, it was random example cause i don't know how much dex & cun rouge will have at the end with out gear & with gear, maybe its good to skip some skills from archer tree & take some skills from dagger tree just to get the passives, it has few good ones, mostly from the right side, i would help u save some cun so u can add more to Dex, its just an idea, & i just came up with it :)

 

if archer is also assassin it needs more dex, just cause hes assassin

I think the formula in the OP was cobbled together based on limited testing, not by actually looking at game files.  It's quite possible that it's not quite right.

 

What does the script formula look like?
