So I bought the game on 360 since I haven't upgraded yet to a ps4 or xbox1 since to be honest I don't see any game out there right now that justifies me dropping the price.

Am I correct in assuming that Bioware just didn't care for the old gen while they were making this game? I mean nitpicking aside this game just looks horrible on the 360. I am use to backgrounds texture popping in from Bioware games so that was expected but this game looks like a backwards compatability xbox 1 game I'm playing.

How is it that Mass Effect 1 looks better than this game? I can't be the only one peeved that this game looks so horrible.

I'm sure all I will get is the "definitive," Version is the new gen but even then that should not be an excuse, hell the little intro cutscene with the birds flying had massive screen tearing and lagginess to the point I had 5 birds on screen.

In all honesty, I personally think that not many people bought this game for last gen compared to current gen/PC since I haven't heard or seen much about it anywhere. I don't think there is anything Bioware could do now since the hardware is so old and the Frostbite engine is so demanding, this is just the standard for them now. If you want to get the full experience, I'd buy a current gen console whenever possible. They look really good and I think you'd feel a lot more immersed in the world.

Thta is what I was thinking about as well, I actually haven't heard many people talk about the x360 version as opposed to the next gen versions. But even then how can a game look this poor? I mean Dragons Dogma looks better and it's what 2yrs old by now.

I'd understand if Bio just said they were lazy about the last gen but I doubt they'd ever say that.

I don't think it looks too bad except for the hair/facial hair, maybe my standards are just low.

There is quite many people reporting from various problems. I have collected some there. In technical issues forum there is 20+ long page asking BW to patch old gen as well since it's unplayable for some and horrendous for many.

Games aren't really comparable like that. Different engines, different designs, etc. etc. They built this game for current gen and PC, then did the best they could with the resources EA gave them to put it on the old consoles. Hard to do a great job in that situation.

Thanks Panda, I'll be migrating over there seeing as how there is no fix to this at all an I doubt a "update," Will fix all these issues.

Stinging- That shouldn't be the point. How do you make a game like Mass Effct 1 look that good even by todays standards (an honestly the dialogue wheel convos look miles ahead of Mass2-3/DA 2-Inqu) yet this game (inquisition) looks horrible. I mean what is this Koolaid shiny blood splatter all over my character? Why is it shiny?!

They've shown they can make a game look very good on the 360 hardware even in the early days so why now that devs know little tricks to get the most out of the 360 does this game look so poor.

I know we won't really get an actual response so this is starting to turn into a rant so I'll end it here, I'll just chalk it up to Bioware being lazy about the last gen versions.

I don't think it's laziness. The game is just too big. It's a lot bigger than DAO or DA2, and a LOT bigger than any Mass Effect game. It was made to be played on a decent PC (which the PS4 and Xbone essentially are). Take a look at the system specs on an Xbox 360 - they aren't anywhere close to the minimum necessary requirements on PC. Not even half way there.

I'm of the opinion that they did what they could - releasing them at all on oldgen systems was probably not a good idea.

Again, I would ask...  What exactly did you expect here?   The game was designed and built to run on modern equipment.   The X360 is ten years old now, and has 1/16 of the memory of the current generation.

Has nothing to do with laziness... but you can only strip out so much of the game to make it playable on that ancient equipment.    (Yes, 10 year old electronics is ancient)

Watching the movie Avatar on a small black and white TV doesn't have the same effect as watching it in 3D on an IMAX screen.
