Okay, do any of you have any idea why it will not load at my house, yet at work it works perfectly fine? It absolutely refuses to load.

It used to misbehave for me here at work until we upgraded Internet Explorer.

It works fine for me, even when using a clunky copy of Internet Exploder 8. If you do a ctrl-u in your browser, does it show the full content of the page's HTML?

I use a fully up to date Google Chrome with Ad-blocker Plus(currently shut off due to trouble shooting), it seems to be working right now, but it wasn't working for 3 days straight... Hope it continues to work.

Edit: Nevermind, its still not working. viewsource also comes up with "Webpage not available". Adblock Plus also has neverwintervault.org on the whitelist. Found out I forgot to type "vault" in the URL right after I posted that.

Is it possible that the site blocked my IP because it might of thought I was a bot due to Adblocker Plus? If so that really REALLY sucks. I am quite apparently not a bot. :D I'm a modder looking for placeables.

I'm using adblock plus, betterprivacy, ghostery, https-everywhere, and noscript; it still works. IIRC, there was an interval last week when I couldn't access the site, but it was available the next day.

Its still not available, and I need to download the Neverwinter Nights CEP 2.4/2.5, even direct download links do not work. That makes me wonder now why it would not work at all.

Perhaps try clearing your browser cache?

Ctrl F5 is a forced refresh. It often works for me when I have issues.

Your home IP address might be sharing a range spammers use.

If you know what the static IP is, you can PM me if you'd like and I'll check the range of blocked IPs on the vault.

There is also the possibility it was added accidentally too.

If it's not on the blocked IP list, I'm not sure what else to suggest at this time.

FP!

So, now I know I'm not blocked by the site.

I suggest using the traceroute command, it will show you were things are getting dropped on the route from your pc to neverwintervault.org.

Here is a basic primer:

^That is a screenshot of the traceroute. Now we just need to figure out what 9 is.

It might just be a hop that doesn't respond to ICMP traffic.

Is it possible your own firewall software is blocking the return traffic from the neverwintervault site?

Nope, my firewalls are off, and none of the other computers in the building will load the site.

I am by no means an expert, but I was having difficulty last week as well.Pages kept getting caught up on a script.

I went to that stupid bar on the right of my screen, settings, control panel, folder options, show hidden files and folders, and clicked on that option.

I made sure all Google Chrome windows were closed.

Then I opened C:/Users/*user name*/App Data/Local/Google/Chrome and deleted the folder there called User Data, or you can back it up by just changing the name.

This resets Chrome and you will lose saved passwords and cookies and stuff and will have to re-pledge your soul to Google, but if your User Data has become corrupt it can cause all sorts of problems and may indicate compromised security on your machine.

Of course I could be totally wrong too. Just tossing out that suggestion.

EDIT: and it turns out I was totally wrong lol, don't follow me, I'm lost.

Don't do that! That solves some problems, but it won't solve this.

There is a broken link in the server chain to get from the ISP to the vault.

Basically you need to contact your ISP and let them know what's happening. I would do it via technical help forums (I hope that your ISP has some!) unless you have endless patience (the phones are manned by people with a script and you will have to work very, very, very hard to get past that - I'm not exaggerating). Once someone with technical knowledge sees that traceroute then they will understand the issue and hopefully something will get done. This has happened to me, but in my case there were dozens of complaints about the same thing so it got fixed quite quickly. Look for an existing thread on the forum in case others are experiencing similar problems.

Someone sent me the files I needed via email, but I still cannot access neverwintervault.org... Hopefully when I purchase my new comp it becomes available.

No, as I tried to tell you, it's your ISP. Hopefully at some point the problem will be fixed, but you should tell them about it.

It is still dead here (Rogers Cable in Ontario-Canada). I tried many browsers (IE 11/FF/Chrome/Opera) and nothing. With the death of the IGN vault and now this, it is really killing NWN 1/2.

This is also reporting it down.

Does anybody know if nwnfoundation.org is a mirror site, or just an alternate alias?

The regular link works for me as well, but I'm accessing it from the states.

It's now back for me and reporting up for everyone...

It might have been an intermittent issue. But I had tried it in the last few days and only after I finally chime in that it is dead here, does it come up.
