Firstly let me say, i think DAMP has a great multiplayer module. Its fun, its challenging and once they iron out the bugs and make a few qol changes, i believe this could be a truely great game.

That being said.

Why is there no restat in multiplayer?

In most games i could understand this but in DAMP it makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Unlike most games we can't just make a new character, we have to lvl it to max lvl then start again from scratch. True, i do find it hard to believe that this would be too hard of a process or that you could gimp your character so bad they would be unplayable but it does seem dumb that you'd have to spend hours grinding with a character you dont enjoy playing, hoping that next time around you get a build you like. This could easily be fixed by adding a reset character option but that wont help with my next point which is, why would u make such a range of viable builds but then force us to only play one of them. Again if we had an option to make more then one of a character this wouldn't be such a issue, I'd happily make 2 of a class so i could enjoy different builds.

Why is there no auto sprint?

There's absolutely no reason not to sprint. I can't think of one time in my entire time playing where i haven't held down the shift key. Please save our pinky fingers and just have it always enabled. It honestly adds nothing to the game the way it is now.

Why is there no text chat?

I heard this was something that will be enabled in future, atleast I'm hoping. But i must say its extremely annoying. I dont have a mic so if I need to afk for example, there's no way for me to tell my party, I just have to hope they notice I'm not moving and take the hint. There's also no way to coordinate a party. It might just be me but i was under the impression that DAMP would be challenging and require a coordinated team. At the moment the only strategy is hoping everyone knows what they're doing and if they don't, we just throw them in the deep end and hope they can learn to swim. Also why is there no chatrooms in the main and game lobby?

Why so much RNG?

This isn't really that big of an issue for me, just means i have to adapt to the new system. But still, when i was reading up on DA:I and the new crafting system, you know the one thats said to be the "most advanced of any Bioware game". I was disappointed when all we got was a few schematics and the ability to unlock characters and new looks through one of the most basic crafting systems I've ever seen. The "weapon" schematics are essentially no different to runes except you have the ability to chose 2 different stats which are very straight forward; do I want to increase atk or crit? should i get str or con? Seriously runecrafting in DAO:A was far more complex to this. You atleast had tiers and mixing different rune combinations. I havent played SP yet so as I have been enjoying playing MP so I cant comment on crafting there, but in MP its bland.

Other then the latency issues and bugs, I'd say that would pretty much some it up for now. I know some stuff they're(hopefully) working on fixing now, and hopefully the other stuff is planned for DLC atleast.

Because of the way your rank is calculated.  It's the same basic system as ME3MP, wherein your rank is based off of your accumulated levels across all characters (plus a bonus for prestiging?).  The first 10 levels are much faster to attain than the last 10 levels, so the battle for the top of the leaderboards would consist entirely of people leveling to 4 in a single match, resetting their character, then doing it all over again.  Even if they added a feature that simply allowed you to reset your skill points, being able to try a new build next time around is part of the proverbial carrot in the leveling treadmill.  Yeah, it kind of sucks when you're new and aren't sure which skills are going to be good, but in the long run you're going to prestige quite a lot of characters, so it's really a small matter.

That would be nice.  On another note, sprint's a toggle.  You actually just need to tap shift to start sprinting.  Hopefully that'll alleviate your pinky concerns for now.

Other than those two points, I generally agree with what you're saying.  That said, they've already stated that DLC for DAMP will be free, and if they're anything like ME3MP's DLC, we can expect to see a lot of new content as time goes on.  Yes, it's a little rough right now, but I have no doubt that if you give it some time DAMP is going to be awesome.

The difference between MEMP RNG and DAMP RNG is an interesting one.
In MEMP you have a clear slope of progression. Filling in all common weapons meant they won't take any more box space. Weapon upgrades grew more powerful over time and unlocks. One could get lucky and gain rare weapon in uncommon box, but even without much luck you still could get it by buying those expensive spectre packs.
In DAMP it's 100% luck. You can get lvl 20 unique weapon in the first pack you buy, or don't get anything past lvl 7 weapons after months of play and hundreds of packs bought.
