Ok... So... I'm just sitting here looking at the multiplayer classes... and so far I AM BEYOND disappointed with the classes and how its set up.... For some reason I can't get into it because of that. They should of let us make our own characters.... Or do one male dual wield and one female dual wield.... Most of the male characters aren't good... so the point is, is everyone having this thought also? It was really just annoying the heck out of me. lol
Is it just me? Or?

I dont mind it. We lose customization, but our characters feel more grounded in story than nameless person completing these epic feats. Sometimes the characters are too grounded in their back-stories, but hopefully bioware will adjust that.

True. It is their first time doing multiplayer for Dragon Age. It's just so annoying. Just for that I can't see myself playing it at all. I'll try I guess.

Like with ME3, making full characters or choosing trees would lead to some ridiculously broken setups. As is, they can balance around each kit having a certain number of viable builds and a limited number of passives.

I agree with the we should've got the chance to customise our own MP character, but in a limited way, as in choosing gender and face model within each given class. I really think that could work as the story element in DAMP is pretty generic and weak.

The character backgrounds were actually well-written. But in a 3 map hack and slash co-op, you don't really learn anything about the characters, so the benefit of having premade characters is lost beyond forcing on players nonsensical communication hotkeys and an extremely limited amount of banter that can repeat 2-5 times per game.
Lucky for female players, all of the best classes are female except elementalist, but that class is probably going to be the first to be nerfed into the ground.

So far I am dissapointed only with a couple of classes. Kitari and Temlar for example. Templar kit is all over the place and the Kitari doesn't really have anything unique in there to make him noticeable. A Reaver can do what a Kitari can far better, and a Legionnaire is way better at tanking than a Templar. Templar have the cool nuke going for them, but aside from that it is nothing but auto attacks for 24 seconds.

Why, are you implying female players play only female characters and male players play only male characters? I'm sorry, but that sounds ridiculous to me.
You play a character because you like/are curious about their abilities, role and playstyle. If you want to play a badass mage that can summon a meteor storm and freeze enemies, what does it matter if it has a penis or a vagina?
I can understand the SP appeal of having a character of your same gender if you're into proper roleplay (even though I know a number of women who play as males and viceversa, me included), but in MP I don't really understand why it would even matter.

You can't see yourself playing at all because you can't choose the sex of the character you're gonna use? Suit yourself, but that seems very immature to me.

Yup, this seems like a pretty ridiculous thing to be bothered by.
