Hello people!

So I wasn't able to find a topic just about this. So here it is.

Anyone have quotes or mentions that Hawke gives about his/her romance?
Are you satisfied with the mentions or did you want more?

I romanced Fenris with my canon Hawke and she mentions him once when you ask her about him, and once right before she heads off. The Nightmare also mentioned him, which was great :)! I wouldn't have said no to more references, but I understand why they didn't have more. It isn't Hawke's game after all. Still, I would of loved more Hawke in general.

I am curious about Sebastian romancers... especially anyone who kept Anders alive. Are there any mentions about them breaking it off? Anders too, makes me curious. I've seen a video of a Hawke talking about romanced Anders, but what about a Andersmancers who broke it off after the Chantry went bye bye (my first DA2 play through... darn Anders)?

Please share your thoughts, get off topic, have a ball!

Oh yeah! I remember Varric making a comment that he's glad he doesn't have to tell Fenris in person where Hawke is going. :) Awesome.

For Isabella, (male) Hawke mentions that the two of them were never for being tied down, so they were fine taking some time away from each other. They planned to on getting back together once they were done with their work. Other than that, I can't recall any other romance mentions. I think Varric mentions them (or Hawke's surviving sibling if there is no romance) if --

In the keep you can't choose 'Romanced Sebastian' and spared Anders at the same time, so there's nothing about breaking up with Sebastian because of Anders. However there is a war table mission called 'Annexing Kirkwall' if you spared Anders. As the name suggests Sebastian, now Prince of Starkhaven, wants to annex Kirkwall and is asking the Inquisitor for help to subdue the last of the resistance, led by Guard-Captain Aveline. Josephine and Leliana help Sebastian take Kirkwall, Cullen helps Aveline defend it. I'm not sure about the outcome of the Josephine and Leliana cards, but sending Cullen means Sebastian fails to annex Kirkwall.

For love of the maker I don't know why anyone would steal Kirkwall for Sebastian's sake

Woah, I do not know how I didn't see that mission. My Hawke's brother was a Grey Warden and she said she had Aveline take Carver and leave as far from Orlais as possible. What about your sibling? Maybe that changed it?

That's dumb :(. I am disappointed now. Does Sebastian react at all to a romanced Hawke if you spare Anders? I mean differently from what he usually does.

Well he can't, because the option is not supported in the Keep. The keep only recognizes who you were with at the end of the game, so if you spared Anders, Sebastian broke up with you and you were no longer in a romance at the end of the game.

If you executed Anders I think Sebastian's mission is about aiding Kirkwall instead of annexing it. Also I think you need to complete a previous war table mission about supporting Sebastian before he asks you for help regarding Kirkwall.

Whaaaat?

Spoiler

No, my Hawke is fine, hence the "I think".

The decision was still tough though. Stroud is actually quite fascinating as a character and is more interesting than I gave him credit for before I played his quests.

Oh, okay about the war table. That makes sense now! Does Varric disapprove if you help Sebastian?

And I meant from DA2. Sorry for not being specific.

I helped Aveline boot Sebastian out, so I don't know if helping him makes Varric disapprove or not. I don't remember him giving me approval points for opposing Sebastian though.

My Canon Hawke is a Sebastian rivalmancer(not that the Keep knows about the rival part of it). For Seb, Hawke says something to the effect of "Sebastian would have come along with me, but he would have hated himself for it. He's needed in Starkhaven."

Later on, you get a war table mission where Sebastian, now Prince of Starkhaven after taking down the last of the usurpers, offers his aid to the Inquisition, no strings attached.

There is something of a contradiction in what the War Table mission says and what Hawke says. She mentions that Sebastian still has a position in the Chantry, not that he's Prince. But the War Table mission makes it clear that Sebastian is in charge of Starkhaven. My guess is that when Hawke left, Sebastian's place as Prince was in doubt.

So....no more of this 'Chaste Marriage before the Maker' business. Seb is Prince of Starkhaven, no matter what. Good times. At least, that's what I saw in my playthrough. Still ticked that Hawke isn't Viscountess anymore, though. There goes that awesome alliance. For now.

"I never really like leaving Anders alone, but once I realized Wardens were acting strangely, I had no choice. I've seen Corypheus affect Anders' mind before. If he was involved, I couldn't risk it happening again. ('What was he like?') Complicated. It's not like the minstrels make it out to be. He's not just a hero or a monster. Maybe he's both. He was trying to change the world. He knew it couldn't happen peacefully."

When I went to the fade the demon was taunting my Hawke about "Merrill will die." I didn't get a response because Jusitinia thought I wanted another cutscene with her right at that moment.

My Hawke was with Anders and when I asked him about it he got super protective, it was so "awww" worthy. Something about Anders being in hiding and Hawke isn't too pleased he had to leave him to deal with the Warden mess. Made the Fade thing hurt A LOT. My warden was Alistair, not Stroud...

Honestly, I felt like the romance mentions sucked. They pretty much ruined my Hawke's relationship (imported f!Hawke/Fenris) just to force her into the game for like half an hour of screentime.

Spoiler tagging my sorta-little rant so people don't have to read my fangirl spewing:

I had a friend with Fenrismance and Hawke mentions him when they first arrive at Skyhold, something about having to leave him behind because he'd die for them/do anything for them. Then in the Fade the demon says Hawke can't protect Fenris. And Varric mentions Fenris at the end of the quest as well. Sorry for being so vague, it's just what I remember from my friend.

For me I had a Sebastian romance and I thought it was a bit weird that the Fear Demon didn't mention him to Hawke? The demon just said "your family died knowing you were a failure". My worldstate had Carver dying in the Deep Roads, so maybe that overruled the romance. Did anyone have a Sebastian romance where the demon mentioned him?

No chaste marriage, bet that makes humorous Hawke happy. I've seen vice s of her trying to get him in bed X)

Hawke said that Starkhaven is in chaos now since the heirs (successors) are fighting with each other to become king. Seb has to stay to avoid further chaos so 'he would have hated himself' if joined with Hawke.

He wouldrequest assistance from the inquisition to help rebuilding Kirkwall and hope to form alliance with starkhaven.

Hawke said he is the Chantry Advisor in Starkhaven. Not sure what that means. After the Adamant mission, Varric said Seb would join Hawke to warn the Grey Wardens.

My Carver didn't die and remained as a templar. I romanced Seb but the demon still said 'your family died' sort of thing. Guess their relationship has no dark secrets/regrets? lol
