Random question for anyone who didn't romance any characters with Hawke:
 
Is there any mention of Aveline as the BFF? In DAII, no romance meant a whole lot of Aveline. I'm curious to see if that trend carries over.
 
Secondly, has anyone ever noticed any mention of Tallis and her kiss with Hawke? It's an option in the Keep, yet I've never seen it mentioned anywhere in DA:I. Or even a mention of Tallis in general, for that matter.

Sorry. No mentions of how close they are from what I've seen. I know there's a part where Hawke mentions Aveline was with Carver (GW) taking him far from Orlais.

Uh. I love Aveline. Seriously, a game as massive as Inquisition could of had a few (a lot) more well placed cameos. All our wonderfully well written previous characters gone I think a lot of them don't even get mentioned.

Aveline is mentioned by Hawke as their friend when talking about their sibling.

almost felt like he was substituted in for Tallis, they were pretty similar. Maybe Bioware couldn't get Felicia Day for this.

For me, Hawke mentioned that she didn't want to drag Merrill into this mess as Merrill had spent enough time fighting for her life at Hawke's side, and she was now doing important work helping elven refugees.

After Hawke died, Varric mentions he'll have to write Merrill and tell her. Cassandra asks about it later in banter, as well.

Since the Sebastian romances have come up, I wonder if Sebastian and Hawkes marriage isn't chaste anymore since he left the chantry to rule Starkhaven. Does Hawke finally get to get laid? lol.

Depending on your world state, it can also be Hawke or Alistair/Hawke or Loghain. In that one, I chose Alistair to live. Hawke said "I'm sorry Sebastian" right before she died. I think it was the hardest video game choice I've ever made.

.....I'm suddenly really glad I didn't get that scenario in this playthrough. That line would have either broken me for life or made me savescum at the speed of light.

Stroud was a badass. I had to let him live. Hawke had his time in the spotlight. Not much more they could do with the champion at this point anyways, I'm interested in seeing what they may do for Stroud in the future though.

Probably. He's not a sworn Brother anymore, but an advisor to the Chantry. Plus, no point in retaking the throne and feuding off with usurpers if he's not gonna leave any heirs.

Nah, they're doing the deed. And considering there's a gap of about four years between the last time you see Hawke and Sebastian in DA2 and the first time you see her in DAI, you can even throw some frowny royal babies in there if your headcanon wishes it so.

I doubt they'll do much if anything with Stroud in the future considering so many players are going to have dead Stroud. Of course the same can be said for Hawke.

When I got to this point, I was yelling "Bioware, you bastards!" at the screen (with a huge grin, because I wasn't angry, just impressed they'd put such a tricky decision in the game).

 

Initially I picked Hawke, because Hawke was always doing stupid things and coming out okay, so I kind of thought that might be the case this time also... When I realised that that was it for her, I just... it felt so wrong. She's my character, in my mind she gets her happily ever after with Isabella. So I really couldn't leave it like that. I reloaded and let Stroud take the bullet.

There is mentions of Tallis in DA:I. Varric asked Iron Bull if he knew her since they're both spies for the Qun. He doesn't. As for the kiss, I have not seen any mentioned of it. then again I my Hawke didn't kiss her since he was loyal to his sweet Merrill

I finally got to hear that banter in-game between Cassandra and Varric, gave me a smile to hear that Merrill would be rejoining Hawke someday  also had a little laugh cause in my world-state, Carver joined the Templars and Varric said he would eventually join up with Hawke cause "he didn't want Hawke getting all the glory", lol.

 

EDIT: Also something to mention, but if you follow through with Varric's "Hard in Hightown" war table missions and involved the Kirkwall city-guard in your investigation, you'll get several messages from Aveline.

Was really unhappy when i didnt get to see fenris thought he would have been apart of new dai considering he hates mages hopfully theres a follow up dlc to do with either letting hawke die or some sort of follow up didnt return im just a silly fan wanting to see fenris sulk again ha was my favourite character though.

So far that's been my only DA Keep bug. It got the LI right, Merrill, but the gender of Hawke wrong. Varric says he instead of she. No big.

I dont think im gonna be able to choose between Hawke and Allistair. Thats one keep world state I just cant load. How do you choose???

So I had to choose between a Hawke who romanced Fenris and romanced Alistair with living Warden. The decision kind of made itself since it's friggin Alistair, but this part of the game wrecked me. I actually think it was the hardest decision in all DA:I series so far (I haven't finished the game, so I don't know iif there are worse to come. don't spoil!). Poor Fenris, holy crap. Poor guy can't get a break. I really don't want to import my Sebastianmancer!Hawke anymore, unless it's with King!Alistair, but I don't like putting him on the throne, so idk. I made my decision based on what's best for the Wardens' future in my opinion. I thought they were needed in case of future Bligts and it's crucial that they have a competent commander, With my warden awol, I thought Alistair would be the best option for it, at least for a time. Also, as much as I love Hawke, I love my wardens more.

 

As for what the characters say about Fenris, the more or less exact quotes are below.

Hawke: 'Fenris would kill himself to protect me. I didn't want to give him this opportunity.'

 

Demon: 'Fenris will die. They will all die. (can't remember this one exactly, sorry).

Hawke's response: 'I'm going to enjoy killing this thing.'

 

Varric after Hawke's death: 'I should be the one to tell Fenris.'

I'm jealous of those who got humorous hawke. My hawke was humorous his entire playthrough, and yet the hawke that appeared in Inquisition was the aggressive hawke. Just felt wrong.

 

I romanced Fenris myself, and I was ok with how Bioware handled it. Could have been worse.

 

 

Honestly, who could kill their hawke? You're hurting yourself, Varric, and your previous lover in DA2.

Not that I would ever do that to poor Fenris...but I'm sure if Fenris found out AND found out I was a mage, he'd personally travel to Skyhold to kill me. Then drink himself to a stupor. Probably die from intoxication...

 

On a side note for the happier letter, I'm sure Fenris is cursing Hawke for leaving without him and is on his way to Wiess-whatever to give him a piece of his mind. And ass.

I had Anders romance my female Hawke, and it made perfect sense: she mentioned about the danger to the Wardens, and how she didn't want to leave Anders alone, but had to. Then demon says in the Fade "Anders would die, and your family would die..." and at the very end, if you choose a certain tragic option, she says "Sorry, Anders". So, yeah, pretty poignant.
