I missed this banter, and it made me feel SO much better about the dumb excuse for leaving Fenris at home. Seriously, I have a headcacon where Fenris shows up at the keep (extremely pissed off) looking for Hawke, hearing she had been there, and says to Varric, "I thought we agreed to stop doing this **** after the last time I left her for 3 years."
The banter totally supports this ^.^
