As the title stated, has anyone been able to slot more than 8 abilities at the same time? It is starting to become annoying as it limits builds at higher levels (20+), particularly if you take a specialization that has a lot of active talents such as tempest for the rogue.

Simply use tactics for skills that don't be in your slots. Work wonder in tactical mode especially Block&Slash

Oh, so that can still work on companions?  As long as the skills are tagged they can still use them even if not in power slots?

Thank you for that tip Boboverlord - I didn't realize that myself, but it still raises a big grump of mine.

While I understand the UI being set at 8 even if it SHOULD be more for the PC crowd, why didn't they just also add a power wheel option for excess skills?

Mass Effect did it - why they figured "They'll never have more then 8 skills" when the trees easily allow you to go past that boggles me to no end >_<

Scenario 1 - Situation is as it is:

PC gamers will complain about lack of skill slots.

Scenario 2 - PC gets additional slots:

Console gamers whine about how it's somehow 'unfair' to them.

Yes, it would happen.  :P That's the pain with multiplatform games, it's impossible to please all involved parties.

Thus, power-wheel for all versions as well as additional slots for PC UI if people want to add them. Best compromise and still gives all platforms more than 8 slots if necessary.

I agree with Crackseed. Even in DAO and DA2, all the console gamers had to do was bring up the power wheel and select abilities that weren't quick-slotted.

I think there's a difference between 'whining' and actually having a legitimate issue in that you physically can't fit enough abilities for characters over a certain level to work. It's not like this is the first DA game to come out on console.
