1. Runes. I am pretty sure Spirit Blade adopts the weapon rune damage bonus unlike every other spell.

 

Tested this on some Hinterlands archers:

 

Staff 1: 46 Damage, 20 Living Damage (corrupting rune) = Spirit Blade hits for 180 "yellow" damage and 90 "orange damage"

Staff 2: 34 Damage = Spirit Blade hits for 127 damage.

 

Next, I ran to hit some the Spirit Blade hit them for 300 damage on the health. No double number popped up, which is consistent with nature of the rune.

 

 

2. Mana Surge. This isn't a KE exclusive mechanic yes, but what the hell is up with this?

 

Half the fights it fires off every time my tiny Sword generated sliver of barrier is stripped, other times it barely procs at all for several barrier depletions in a row.

 

 

3. Spell procs from gear. Now I am not entirely sure if these add to the KE barrier from spell damage, but if nothing else, they seem to count as hits for purpose of "Generate Guard on hit" gear.

 

 

4. +% Spirit Blade damage ring. Just curious, anyone ever saw one?

5. Strength Spirit from Spirit tree works on barriers generated by the blade?
