Ehhh, saw it coming all the way back in Origins. It's why most of my Wardens never did the ritual in the first place, the writing was on the wall even then to them.

I didn't care for his character, though as far as his plot importance I was pleased I performed the ritual.

Does Kieran exist in world states without a DR? (Haven't experienced that yet.)

Drinking or letting Morrigan drink from the Well of Sorrows is the 'bad' choice. Keiran gets to stay with his mom and Urthemiel's soul gets released into the Fade by Flemeth.

Flemeth taking the soul from the boy. I think I only had two Wardens who actually trusted her with that sort of power, and her ambitious statements in the Fade during Inquisition would have had them all breaking out their tin foil hats for an 'ah ha!' moment. Isn't that horrible in my mind either, but several declined the ritual only BECAUSE of Flemeth and the feeling that she'd do terrible things with the soul. Not that she's had any time to do good or bad with it, if it's truly floating in the Fade or not.

basically it doesn't matter if you do the ritual or not, it only matters if you slept with Morrigan

She does release it into the Eluvian though. If she wanted it for herself she could have just absorbed like Fen'Harel did to her. I think Morrigan and Flemeth are really preservation of the ancient and mythical. Difference between them is that Morrigan is fumbling in the dark while Flemeth was Mythal all along.

Wait do you mean the blue light in the epilogue? Doesn't that happen regardless of what you imported? Forgive me, I haven't had the chance to test it yet with a non OGB run, but I can't imagine it wouldn't. Though I do agree with your points, I'm just a little confused here.

When Morrigan goes looking for Keiran in the Eluvian. After Flemeth removes Urthemiel's spark from him she releases it into an Eluvian behind her.

Except she doesn't in this scene, 10:00 and on, that's why I'm a bit confused.

He's not a simpleton, he's cute and adorable and I think I actually squealed watching the parts with him I think they just made him bigger than he should have been. His voice and actions are like those of a younger child but he's the size of a 12 year old.

So apparently all the Wardens who did the US died for nothing. LOL

To me it seemed he was safely written out of the plot. He's back to being a normal kid now [or is period if you pick 'human baby w/ morrigan in keep] and can cameo in future games, or not, but his part to play is no longer relevant to anything anymore and that's that.

 

 

idk really, def seemed it was the easiest way to write him out and them not having to worry about the old god essence anymore.

that because he is about 10. not much size difference there. baring early growth spurts. which explains the OPs confusion.

 

well my warden for that playthough was a reaver which has more side effects then I thought from what cass said. plus the taint and his magically induced existance.. I'm probably lucky he is acting a little odd rather then lightning skyhold on fire with magic.

 

there ps also the whole having a old god soul which may be talking to him thing, since from what I've heard he feels lonely without it, bound to make a person act a little odd.

The heck are you babbling about? Are you talking about the Wardens of the past, or the players who opt to not participate in the Dark Ritual? "Died for nothing" how - died ridding the world of rampaging destroyers, or keeping their souls out of the hands of those who'd use them to their own ends?

He didn't grow up like you me or any other child, he likely didn't play with other kids or had a lot of social contact. Perfectly fine that he's a bit weird

I'm doing one next, but I'm waiting for the patch to come out first.

They're trying to wrap up the old plotlines so they can have a mostly clean slate when they set DA4 in Tevinter, or Antiva, or the north of Thedas in general.

I hope so. Love all the old characters but DA4 should start something new, would be totally fine if not one single known character shows up in it.
