Is it possible to rotate the start location direction arrow so the character spawns facing a certain direction? I know you can do it NW1. Thanx!

Yes, it's possible. The "difficult" part is to succeed in selecting the arrow (I now don't try anymore: I just click on a spot close to the start location and move the mouse with the left button still down to a diametrically opposed corner). Then it's easy to rotate it with the 45° increments from the toolbar.

up/down object: alt + LMB drag

If you've got a wheel, also works with shift + roll.

I always just click on the arrow head.

Ah, that's the trick! I tried to click inside the red circle, but never succeeded in selecting it. I tried your method, and found out that you just have to click on the red parts.

Yeah, focus way in so it's huge, then click right in the middle.
