I cannot, for the ever-loving LIFE of me, get that woman who stands outside the tower to show up and berate me about being the 'Herald of Andraste'. She showed up when I was on my female Inquisitor, but now it seems like she's disappeared. I tried the old 'save and load and/or open and close the Inventory so the area can load again' trick but nothing works and it's seriously frustrating. Did I pick up a quest item too early or...?

 

Also, I do love Solas but whenever we're around Winterwatch he says, "I sense an artifact of my people." And I'm like, "Solas, BRO, I love you. My female Inquisitor (RIP) loved you, but I have no idea where the hell this orb-y thing is man. You're going to have to tell me more than that. Kay? Thanks." So I'd love to know where the barrier 'artifact' thing is around there as well, unless that's bugged, but it's happened to both my Quizzies so I'm assuming his pretty bald head hasn't gone crazy...(or buggy)

 

Any help at all would be appreciated! I just hope this doesn't mean I've lost 1 - 2 hours worth of playthrough.

There are devices that can be found and activated which will "strengthen the Veil" ...when Solas says "I sense an artifact of my people" to you, start clicking V to search and you should find the device. I have found at least 4 of these so far in the Hinterlands, Oasis, Storm Coast and the Dungeon you unlock in the Plains.

Thanks! I already knew what the devices were, but I appreciate you attempting to help me nonetheless!

 

I ended up leaving the Hinterlands and then coming back and the woman was at the gate, so I managed to do the quests pertaining to that particular location without any other issues (thank god!) and, as I had started to suspect, the device was in the tower and I managed to activate it without any problems. Hopefully now Solas is content and won't keep on repeating himself whenever I enter the area, not that I don't like to hear him talk or anything!
