Best strategies for defeating this horrid creature who kills me in 2 seconds flat? My Inq is a mage with mostly cold.

Be a level or two above her. Move around, despite being a mage, especially when she shoots fire at you. Have a character hacking away at her feet.

 

I finished her off yesterday, with my lightning mage (lvl 14) and Varric, Vivienne and Iron Bull in my party. Viv, Varric and I worked on her from far away, also taking care of the dragonlings, and Iron Bull just kept her busy. Killed her in like 10 minutes, with most of my potions gone.
